Four Years Later, Flip-Flop Romney Rejects Trump Endorsement

He was thrilled to have the endorsement of the 'job-creator' in 2012. Now Willard plans to lambaste Trump as a fraud and a phony. Pot meet kettle.

The always unpredictable Donald Trump is predictably narcissistic, we can be assured that his bravado is unwavering. Donald Trump also endorsed a fellow narcissist back in 2012, who gleefully accepted his support. That man was Willard Romney, the White Horse Prophecy Candidate for President. In fact, Romney invited Trump to spend election eve with him.

Times have changed and the bloviating (alleged) billionaire is now running the show. They've lost control of their own frontrunner and the GOP hierarchy is none too pleased. Somehow, Willard is receiving the call, perhaps from the GOP or perhaps from his privileged divine mandate, to intervene and stop the Drumpf locomotive.

Romney is due to speak Thursday in Utah at the Hinckley Institute of Politics Forum on the state of the 2016 presidential race. Already a vocal critic of Trump, excerpts released ahead of the speech show Romney will go a step further in his attacks by accusing the GOP frontrunner of "playing the American public for suckers."

It's laughable and ironic that a man such as Willard Romney can call anyone a fraud or a phony. His Mormon faith sanctions the concept of 'lying for the Lord.' It was proven again and again in 2012 that his dishonesty knows no limits. However, in 2016, Willard is absolutely dead set against presumptive nominee Trump, like so many in his party. He plans to lambaste the man with a scathing rebuke that will likely include statements like this:

"His domestic policies would lead to recession. His foreign policies would make America and the world less safe," Romney will say. "He has neither the temperament nor the judgement to be president. And his personal qualities would mean that America would cease to be a shining city on a hill."

The Today Show featured a segment about the upcoming speech:

These are strange times indeed. It is fun to watch the carnage, if you're an American who's tired of Republicans ruining your country. That's undeniable.
