Paul Ryan Speech On Disastrous State Of Politics Does Not Mention Trump Once

Paul Ryan gave a speech today which criticized the lack of focus of the current presidential race, mainly swiping at Donald Trump.

Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) gave an impassioned speech today regarding the (disastrous) state of American (Republican) politics. He called on the Republican Party to focus on actual policy ideas instead of personal jabs. So I guess no more talk about tiny hands and naked photo shoots by wives? Darn.

Ryan talked about being "disheartened" by what voters see on both sides (but he really means the Republican side, you know, schlong jokes, tiny hands, accusations of being a robot).

Ryan did not mention Donald Trump by name, but it is pretty clear that he is taking a not so subtle swipe at him. This comes just one day after Trump publicly tweeted the following thinly veiled threat about Cruz's wife:

Nothing like a presidential candidate threatening the spouse of another presidential candidate! Classy. Respectable. Presidential.

The other thing Ryan didn't (and couldn't) mention is his own caucus. How many Obamacare repeal votes have happened? 62. Jobs bills? Zero.

Also, the amicus brief where the House is cooperating with the suing of the President to force him to match them and do nothing about immigration, specifically the deportation of children.

Ryan's speech is nice words but his caucus (and the base that elected them) are still crazy. That's why there is a Trump.
