In 1981, Clock DVA's 2nd album, Thirst, knocked Adam and the Ant's Dirk Wears White Sox out of the #1 spot on the UK Indie charts. The latter sounds quaint and lighthearted fun now. The former is still foreboding and insubmissive.

A few months later the original incarnation of the band would break into pieces.
