No One Is Better At Voter Suppression Than Kris Kobach

Somehow, his office printed some unfortunate mistakes on his state's Spanish-language voter guide. Oops!

It's hard to pick the absolute worst of the Republican Party, but far too often, one is so abhorrent, superlatives don't even suffice. To get a glimpse of this delectable creature in his natural habitat, we must travel to the 9th Circle of Hell where the KS Secretary Of State, Kris Kobach resides. He does have a most malevolent CV.

Not only is (Kobach) one of the primary innovators in the field of voter suppression, but also is one of the primary parental units for anti-immigrant legislation, having been the author of Arizona's notorious "Papers, Please" law.

He's at it again, this time he's 'inadvertently' suppressing those Hispanic voters, who are more likely to vote Democratic.

The Spanish-language voter guides from KS Secretary of State Kris Kobach's office include two errors about registering to vote in the state, while the English guides do not include the same errors.

The Spanish-language guides said that voters could register up to 15 days before the election, while the English version included the correct deadline, 21 days before the election, as the Daily Kos flagged last week. And while the English guides told voters they could use their passport as a photo ID, the guides in Spanish did not include a passport in the list.

Oops! That could definitely purge a substantial amount of Spanish-speaking-Democrats who may have wanted to vote. This is merely the fruition of the dismantling of the VRA by the Roberts Court. In fact, Kobach was awarded The Center for American Progress Action Fund's 2015 Oscar Winner for Voter Suppression.

Clearly he has a problem with Spanish-speakers, so of course, who better to endorse than Drumpf. The also misogynist, and homophobic Kobach is the brains behind the operation of walling out those Mexicans. He conjured up the idea of Mexico being left to pick up the tab.

The path outlined by Trump is a more detailed version of what Kobach proposed in February when he endorsed the candidate. During an interview Friday, when directed to Trump’s plan on his campaign website, Kobach said he had drafted portions of the document. The Trump campaign didn’t respond to a request to elaborate on Kobach’s involvement with formulating Trump’s position on paying for the wall.

“I have been in touch with Mr. Trump directly and his campaign team about this issue,” Kobach said.

Insanely enough, the duo wants to wage an extremely costly offensive against money transfers that are nearly impossible to monitor. Kobach, the Spanish-speaking hater that he is, devised a diabolical plan so blatantly xenophobic, Trump couldn't resist.

“Mexico will then have to make a choice: Either make a single payment of $5 billion to $10 billion to the United States to pay for the wall, or lose most of the $23 billion in remittances that Mexico receives every year from its nationals working illegally in the United States,” Kobach said at the time.

Trump maintains that about $24 billion is remitted from Mexican nationals working in the United States. In his plan, he said it’s an easy decision for Mexico to opt to pay the one-time cost of $5 billion to $10 billion for the wall to ensure the remittances continue.

What a charming idea! Let's prevent relatives from sending remittances to their poverty-stricken loved ones South of the Border. Dr. Evil would be envious of this harebrained scheme indeed.

Kobach claims that his reasons for liking Trump are due to renewed voter enthusiasm.

One of Trump’s greatest strengths is his ability to attract people who haven’t previously been involved in the political process, Kobach said.

Kobach didn't specify which people he's trying to attract. No need because he knows that there are only a precious few Trump voters who are Hispanic. Suppressing Democrat votes, as he would say, is his magnum opus. His is a life truly dedicated to keeping his fellow GOPigs feeding at the (99%) taxpayers' trough.
