Obama: 'Actually I Am Worried About The Republican Party.'

In an interview scheduled for tonight, Obama says The Republican Party needs a major reset for the sake of the country.

USA Today:

President Obama says Democrats are only too happy to run against Donald Trump, but he is personally "worried" about the fate of the Republican Party.

"This country works when you have two parties that are serious and trying to solve problems," Obama told Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon. "And they've got philosophical differences and they have fierce debates and they argue and they contest elections."

Indicating that Trump is not a serious candidate, Obama said that what has happened in the Republican Party "is not actually good for the country as a whole. It's not something Democrats should wish for."

Saying the nation needs a "healthy two-party system," Obama said that he hopes that "there's some corrective action" after this year's election.

He also said, “You want the Republican nominee to be somebody who could do the job if they win. And you want folks who understand the issues. And where you can sit across the table from them and you have a principled argument."

“What’s happened in that party culminating in this current nomination, I think, is not actually good for the country as a whole. It’s not something Democrats should wish for.”

Agreed. The best thing the Democrats can do for the Republican Party is beat them at every level of government in November. Only utter defeat will move them away from their Tea Party birther Benghazi baby parts Mexican melon thighs Solyndra Fast and Furious IRS death panel madness. The GOP voters will never wake up from their Limbaugh fueled fantasies until they are shown that their insanity makes them lose elections.

Even that might not work, but it's worth a try. For the sake of the Republic, vote Democrat.
