Kansas grandmother Nancy Wirth received a letter in her mailbox from an anonymous neighbor who informed her they were selling their house because she has black children spending days in "their" neighborhood.

Wirth takes care of several of her grandchildren during the day at her home. Some of the children are bi-racial.

The letter explains, "“This neighborhood does not need any blacks in it. ...There is a reason for the saying, ‘The other side of the tracks.’ That is where these people belong. You have done a great disrespect in this neighborhood by not thinking of your neighbors.”

You might think it's not a good idea to give publicity to ignorant racists like the person who wrote that letter, but I disagree.

They wrote it anonymously because they know better than to go public and put their own face and reputation to such hate. (And yeah even more despicable that clearly a woman wrote this hiding behind her husband.)

That is why they must be outed, shamed, and charged with a hate crime.

No one in America is unwelcome because of the color of their skin, but these racists can go back to the homeland of their peasant-class ancestors where they belong.

Maybe Habitat for Humanity can buy their house for pennies and use it as a foster home for multi-racial American children who deserve a home, a neighborhood, and their country back.
