Watch Brit Hume Mainstream A Hillary Clinton Conspiracy Theory – And Blame Her For It

Brit Hume pulls the "some people are saying" routine to help Fox push the latest Clinton health conspiracy theory.

Here’s how Hume suggested that Hillary Clinton staged the appearance of a little girl that she hugged after her fainting episode while claiming it was Clinton’s fault he was doing so.

Media Matters caught the moment during a discussion with Howard Kurtz on On The Record:

BRIT HUME (HOST): By the way, what did you make of the—when she came out in the street on Sunday and said she was fine and this adorable little girl materializes. I think that people were suspicious of that, that it looked like it might have been staged.

HOWARD KURTZ: Oh, something, staged in politics. I’m shocked.

HUME: Well, I’m just saying, you know, it may well not have been. I’m not saying it was. I’m just saying the secretiveness stuff leads to such thoughts.

Right. Hume is not saying the incident was staged, he was just noting that unnamed “people” were suspicious and they thought it looked staged. And Mr. “Who me?” thought that was newsworthy enough to “just ask” Kurtz to opine on the subject.

And somehow, it’s all Hillary Clinton’s fault.
