AM Joy On Political Comedy And The SNL Effect

If political comedians were selfish, they'd vote Trump. Because hey...

Yesterday MSNBC's Joy Reid discussed the presidential race, Saturday Night Live and political comedy with XM's Stephanie Miller, John Fugelsang and Dean Obeidallah.

The Alec Baldwin Trump impersonation on Saturday Night Live is so good, that even the ever professional Joy Ann Reid called him "Alec Trump" on the air.

John Fugelsang suggests Donald Trump should win an Emmy for his Alec Baldwin impression:

"Ridicule has always been one of the most effective tools against fascism and authoritarianism, and it is a civic duty of artists to go ahead and do this."

Fugelsang also argues that comedians are demonstrating their unselfish love for country by opposing Trump, because a President Trump would be great for political comedy paychecks.
