Trump Decides To Not 'Lock Her Up' Anymore
Trump supporters are going to wake up to some infuriating news.
Uh oh. There are going to be a lot of really pissed off Trump supporters this morning. Remember all those "Lock her up" chants at Trump rallies? You know, the ones that led to Trump smirking on stage, laughing, promising to investigate and lock her up? The promise that after he wins the election he will nominate a special prosecutor to "look into" Hillary Clinton?
It was all a big lie. Who would have thunk it. Trump, a liar? Say it isn't so. He has shown himself to be so honest for the entire election cycle. Promises to show his taxes, promises that he will never settle the Trump University case, promises that he will build a wall. He kept all those promises, right?
Wait.
Anyways, the New York Post is now reporting that instead of a criminal inquiry, Trump will use his magical powers to "help her heal," whatever the hell that means.
Kellyanne Conway, Trump mouthpiece, told MSNBC's "Morning Joe" today the following:
“I think when the president-elect who’s also the head of your party … tells you before he’s even inaugurated he doesn’t wish to pursue these charges, it sends a very strong message, tone and content, to the members. Look, I think, he’s thinking of many different things as he prepares to become the president of the United States, and things that sound like the campaign are not among them. I think Hillary Clinton still has to face the fact that a majority of Americans don’t find her to be honest or trustworthy, but if Donald Trump can help her heal, then perhaps that’s a good thing.”
Donald Trump, unifier, businessman, healer.
Excuse me while I laugh.
A reminder for those who aren't aware of the distribution of power, Presidents don't get to decide who gets investigated...in a Democracy.
