Jimmy Kimmel Responds To Susan Collins 'No' Vote On Graham Cassidy

Graham Cassidy didn't pass the "Kimmel Test"

The Republican efforts to repeal and replace the extremely popular Obamacare with an extremely unpopular Graham Cassidy bill may have just been dealt it's death blow by Senator Susan Collins or Maine.

Tonight, as live debate was going on in Congress, Collins declared that she will vote "no" on Graham Cassidy. She is the third Republican to state that she will vote no. McCain and Rand Paul are the other two -- McCain is voting no because it is too cruel and not following rules, Paul because it is not cruel enough.

Collins put out the following statement:

"Today, we find out that there is now a fourth version of the Graham-Cassidy proposal, which is as deeply flawed as the previous iterations. The fact that a new version of this bill was released the very week we are supposed to vote compounds the problem."

Her full statement:

She outlined 3 major areas of concern: sweeping cuts to Medicaid, reduced protections for those with pre-existing conditions and higher premiums/reduced coverage for tens of millions of Americans,

Jimmy Kimmel hopped on twitter moments after Collins' statement came out:

5 days until we are past the threshold of 50 votes needed. After September 30th, the GOP will need 60 votes to repeal and replace. Let's see if the GOP will try to come up with a 5th version or if they will give up this fight and move onto something else.
