That Nasty Defender Of Rep. Dave Brat On Facebook Is His Paid Staffer

Making nasty personal remarks at those disagreeing with Dave Brat's policies is her actual job? Do we taxpayers pay for that?

Rep. Dave Brat, like most of Congress, has a Facebook page where constituents can comment on events and issues.

One group of constituents, Liberal Women of Chesterfield County, spend time on that page leaving comments, often disagreeing with the congressman.

They noticed one commenter, Sara James, was online consistently to refute their arguments. She was on nearly every day, and always in defense of the Congressman, and often used nasty or demeaning comments, including telling one woman that if she would just "calm down" she might understand some statistics Brat had spoken to Tucker Carlson.

Calm down? Really.

She also made demeaning comments like, ""I bet you have a coexist bumper sticker - or are you more of an antifa-type?"

Turns out she's on Brat's campaign staff and never mentioned that on Facebook. When one woman suggested she was a paid troll, James replied sarcasticly:

"No I don't get paid to troll wait. Gosh, wish I did!! I comment on Facebook for fun. :) I love engaging with women like you and Kasey. Because you're so sweet and pretty and someone I'd love to hang out with. haha!!"

James is the number one recipient of Brat's campaign trough. She moved out of his district and now lives in Texas, but flies in to work on fundraisers, which pay her salary.

And of course, she can Facebook from anywhere.

Asked about this lack of transparency, Brat's chief of staff Mark Kelly said people could look at FCC reports. Really.
