Roy Moore just refuses to take no for an answer. It has been 16 days since the Alabama special election and Roy Moore still refuses to concede. Now, he is taking his whiny complaint to the courts, filing a lawsuit late Wednesday night to contest the outcome of the election.

The Associated Press reports that Moore filed a suit in the Montgomery Circuit Court asking for the state to "launch a fraud investigation and hold a new election."

Um, no. The Alabama Secretary of State John Merrill said that he has no plan to delay certification of Doug Jones as the winner. Merrill told CNN: “The short answer to that is no. Doug Jones will be certified today.”

Moore, alleged child molester, lost the Alabama senate race by a margin of around 20,000 votes. In a state as blood red as Alabama, this was a shocking turn, even when you factored in the allegations levied against Moore. High voter turnout of black voters likely swung the election, even though there were rampant reports of voter suppression. Imagine how much higher the margin would have been without such efforts?

Doug Jones is the first Democrat to win an Alabama senate race in over 25 years. He is set to be certified as the winner in a matter of hours.
