Trump Advisor To Joan Walsh: You're Not Fit To Shine Kelly's Shoes
Yeah, whatever.
Erin Burnett and Joan Walsh got into it with former Trump advisor Steve Cortes about what White House chief of staff John Kelly knew about accused serial domestic abuser Rob Porter -- and when did he know it?
Cortes supplied lots of jingoistic blah blah blah about how upright and perfect and noble Kelly is, and said the left is trying to make him into a Bannonesque boogey man.
Both Walsh and Burnett asked Cortes why Kelly didn't look at allegations earlier.
"Here's the reality about General Kelly, this man has given his life to our country literally. He's a battle tested hero. And he didn't just give his entire life. He literally sadly gave his son's life to our country. This is a hero who should be honored and venerated. A man who lives to serve the American public and American security. and for you, Joan, frankly, to besmirch him in this way..."
Walsh then demonstrated the liberal ability of holding two thoughts in her head at the same time, telling Cortes to "shush."
"I lament the loss of his son. I thank him for his service, and think about the two ex-wives plus a girlfriend who told the FBI this information. It's not like he just found it out last night, Steve. and I don't know how you can live with yourself."
Cortes continued cheerleading for Kelly, calling him "a man of honor" who didn't know about Rob Porter.
Walsh asked if he was calling the CNN reporters who confirmed that he did know as liars, and it sort of devolves from there.
