Sen. Bob Corker Shocked And Surprised Fellow Republicans Afraid Of Trump

i hate to tell the good Senator, but he also appears to be afraid of Trump. He does what Trump wants him to do 85% of the time.

Senator Bob Corker has apparently just discovered that his fellow GOPers are afraid of the Tangerine Twatwaffle. This realization has shocked him to his core, and his disappointment was evident in the six-minute diatribe he delivered on the floor of the Senate on Tuesday.

He really, really wants his buddies to vote on his amendment, and the acting President of the Senate just won't bring it up for a vote. Honestly, this amendment would be a good thing, because it would have the Senate vote up or down on the "president"'s use of the National Security excuse to impose tariffs. Everyone agrees with him. Everyone wants to be able to say they hate this awful idea, and they want to be able to use the checks and balances system Lin-Manuel Miranda gave to them. But no one will stand up with Sen. Corker and say so.

This is frustrating for him. He mocks them in disbelief, saying they're afraid to "poke the bear" so close to the midterms. He cannot believe they're so afraid to offend the Pepe Le Pew impersonator in the Oval Office, they won't officially allow the amendment to come up for a vote.

"The United States Senate right now on June 12 is becoming a body where, well, we'll do what we can do, but my gosh, if the President gets upset with us, then we might not be in the majority. And so let's don't do anything that might upset the President." - Sen. Bob Corker

Okay, but the U.S. Senate right now is becoming a body where they'll worry about offending Captain Crunch and the impact on the midterms? Right now??? Where has this guy been?

Oh, yeah. He's been acting like one of the Senators who is worried about offending Captain Crunch. He has voted trump's way 85% of the time in the last 18 months. When it has come to a vote on his cabinet and Judicial nominees? Corker voted with him 100% of the time. One hundred percent.

He would have more credibility if he'd followed up his words with action in the form of votes on the Senate floor.
