In old sci-fi films visitors from another galaxy who often ask to be taken to our leader. If those same films were to be made right now, those same visitors would probably say "We're sorry you have no leader" and then they would all make a joke about what they assumed was intelligent lifeforms and have snarky comments about weird shades of orange.

We would try to explain to them it wasn't most of our choice but they'd still be busy laughing.
