While at CPAC yesterday, Rep. Lauren Boebert threw out some red meat for the crowd, saying:

"We're here to tell government we don't want your benefits. We don't want your welfare. Don't come knocking on my door with your Fauci ouchie, You leave us the hell alone,"

Naturally, the irony of this caught people's attention, including a well-known Democratic congresswoman.

Tell ‘em loud and proud girl! GOP will strip your unemployment protections and dismantle any semblance of a public safety net we have left! Then make working people pay way more for everything on low wages while Wall St gets a meal ticket!

Apparently Boebert's restaurant did NOT receive PPP funds, as stated in a tweet we published in this post, but have now removed....misinformation corrected by Daniel Dale.

This viral claim, which has been repeated in other tweets, is false: Rep. Lauren Boebert’s restaurant did not take PPP money.

This in no way invalidates the rest of the accusations of rank hypocrisy Boebert exudes simply by accepting her federal salary.

Thank you for clearing this up. I tried to verify the claim yesterday and could not. Colorado even has a database.

This does not change the fact that Lauren "I Don't Want No Stinkin' Government Money" Boebert takes money from the government every single day in wages & benefits.
