QPAC Deleted This Tweet Supporting Russia Over Ukraine
They can always move there.
In early August, the Conservative Political Action Conference accidentally on purpose told the truth when they announced, "Ladies and gentlemen, we are all domestic terrorists." Well, OK then. Today QPAC deleted a tweet slamming Ukraine while displaying a Russian flag in the background.
"Vladimir Putin announces the annexation of 4 Ukrainian-occupied territories. Biden and the Dems continue to send Ukraine billions of taxpayer dollars," the unfortunate tweet read. "Meanwhile, we are under attack at our Southern border. When will Democrats put #AmericaFirst and end the gift-giving to Ukraine?"
The Internet had something to say.
It's even better with music:
Now they're walking it back. Via the Washington Post:
CPAC chairman Matt Schlapp on Saturday said the tweet did not clear the normal approval process because he was traveling for a conference in Australia. “Due to my travel into a distant time zone, it was never approved per usual,” he said in a text message.
In a statement, CPAC expressed support for Ukraine but maintained opposition to American aid for the embattled country.
“We must oppose Putin, but American taxpayers should not be shouldering the vast majority of the cost,” the statement said. “The tweet belittled the plight of the innocent Ukrainian people.”
No one believes that.
Hey, QPAC, Ukraine isn't in Russia's territory. Russia invaded Ukraine, killed innocent civilians, destroyed entire cities, raped children, and tried to obliterate their culture. There are mass burial sites still being uncovered. There's nothing American about this genocide. That's a fucked up beyond all belief policy. Here's an idea: Since Putin is losing the war, Putin-supporting conservatives should go on the front lines to fight for Russia. Go on, do it. It's the world against Russia right now. Book a flight, MAGAs.
