GOP Congressman Hires A Guy Arrested For Kicking A Dog
Hey Congressman, your new hire gives off some strong incel vibes.
It seems on-brand for incoming Rep. Mike Collins to hire a GOP operative to be his chief of staff after he was arrested last month on a charge of animal cruelty. After his criminal history was revealed, Brandon Phillips resigned in 2016 as Donald Trump's Georgia state director.
Republicans had no issue with propping up Dr. Mehmet Oz, even though his scientific experiments killed over 300 dogs. So, now we have Phillips, who allegedly kicked a dog. The dog abuser was arrested on Nov. 17 on a misdemeanor charge of animal cruelty and held on a $1,200 bond.
Via Politico:
In the latest incident, Phillips allegedly kicked the dog of a woman named Tifani Eledge with his boot, causing a cut to the animal's stomach, according to an affidavit attached to a warrant for Phillips' arrest. The alleged incident occurred on Aug. 23 in Albany, Georgia.
Collins (R-Ga.) has not formally announced that Phillips, 36, will be his chief of staff, but three Georgia Republican congressional staffers told POLITICO he has been selected for the job.
He participated in a meeting on Nov. 30 that was held exclusively for Georgia Republican congressional chiefs of staff in an office next to the office of Rep. Rick Allen (R-Ga.), according to two of those staffers. And Phillips has interviewed at least one congressional aide for a potential post in Collins' office, they said.
Phillips also was with Collins for new member orientation last month, one of the people said.
Collins has also designated Phillips as his transition aide, a different Republican congressional staffer familiar with the matter said.
I don't ever want to hear a conservative lecture Democrats on morality again. The guy kicks dogs. Who does that? I'm getting strong incel vibes from this guy.
