Kinzinger Confirms Report Trump Begged Xi To Help Him Win In 2020
This is the least surprising news of the day. The former President is just an awful person.
Donald Trump thinks he would have done a much better job taking down the Chinese spy balloon that the Biden administration has already successfully shot down. The one-term loser insisted that 'China had too much respect for "Trump."'
However, former Illinois Rep. Adam Kinzinger confirmed former national security adviser John Bolton's claim that Trump begged President Xi Jinping for help in 2020 to help him win reelection.
A Twitter user was responding to podcaster Monica Crowley.
And Kinzinger tweeted that he was present when Trump asked a group to lay off XI and China telecom ZTE because he promised XI that he would and doesn't want to disappoint the Chinese President.
Via Reuters in June 2020:
Bolton, a longtime foreign policy hawk who Trump fired in September over policy differences, also said that the U.S. president had expressed a willingness to halt criminal investigations to give "personal favors to dictators he liked," according to a book excerpt published in the New York Times ahead of its release.
Trump was mocked by his top advisors:
Together, the excerpts portray a U.S. president mocked by his top advisers who exposed himself to far more extensive accusations of impropriety than those that drove the Democratic-led House of Representatives to impeach Trump last year.
None of this is surprising if you've watched Donald Trump in action during his presidency. He doesn't do anything unless it benefits him. Trump begged Georgia officials for help to win the election, so why not China, too?
