Tucker Tells Viewers To ‘Keep A List’ Of Senators Criticizing Him
Tucker Carlson attacked the Republican senators who criticized his dishonest rewriting of January 6 and conjured up a new conspiracy theory that he has yet to “explore.”
Tucker Carlson has never looked worse. Between revelations of his lies about the 2020 election, including his attempt to get a colleague fired for daring to tell the truth, and now his efforts to rewrite and sanitize what happened on Jan. 6, 2021, even some Republican senators are calling BS on him.
Tuckums is taking the heat and the criticism just as expected: by lashing out like the thin-skinned bully he is.
I’ve long said that Carlson can’t debate and he proved me right again. Instead of defending his so-called investigation (almost surely because he can’t), Carlson cooked up a new conspiracy theory about his critics, even as he also admitted he has no idea what it is.
First, Carlson name-checked Majority Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer, “would-be Republican” Minority Leader Sen. Mitch McConnell and “a cascade of other Republicans,” i.e. Sens. Thom Tillis, Mitt Romney and Kevin Cramer. Tillis had called Carlson’s J6 revisionist history “bulls**t and Cramer called it “just a lie.” Oh, poor Tuckums!
“From this, we learned two things,” Carlson claimed – right before admitting he has no idea what the first one is:
CARLSON: One: You're getting close to what they really care about, and you have to ask yourself why? Why is it so important that they would degrade themselves by telling such obvious lies and calling for censorship? Why? What are they trying to protect? That might be worth exploring, and we plan to.
Tucker can’t investigate any better than he can debate. But that won’t stop him from throwing around unfounded accusations. That’s exactly what he did with the second thing he claimed to have learned: that the Republicans who dared to criticize him are “on the same side” as evil Democrats and the evil media. Carlson even worked in some of his white nationalism into the attack. He called his critics “the open borders people” and took a thinly-veiled, bigoted swipe at McConnell’s wife, claiming “people like Mitch McConnell” are “living in splendor on Chinese money.”
They have “everything in common” and “are all aligned against everyone else,” Carlson claimed, meaning they are aligned against himself, the big victim making millions off stirring up hatred and division with lies. Somebody call a wah-mbulance!
Then Carlson urged his viewers “to keep a list” of his enemies. “One thing we learned today is that they're all in agreement with each other,” he accused. “They sort of showed their membership cards in whatever club this is to the public, so keep a list. If you want to know who's actually aligned, despite the illusion of partisanship, we found out today.”
What the senators are all in agreement over is that they lived through a real attack on the Capitol on January 6, 2021 and that truth and democracy matter. That’s exactly what Tucker Carlson wants to destroy.
