I'm not sure why Newt Gingrich is still a thing. He was House Speaker eleventy bazillion years ago and was responsible for a government shutdown decades ago. At any rate, the old morally bankrupt partisan fossil appeared on Fox News to propagate a baseless lie that the network should know better than to prop it up.

Former President Donald Trump tried to overturn the 2020 election. Still, Newt Gingrich told Fox News decided that it's Democrats who steal elections.

"Are the Republicans doing enough to ensure a free and fair election in 2024?" Lyin' Maria Bartiromo asked.

"Well, I think it's probably almost impossible under current law to ensure an accurate election," Gingrich said without clarifying what the fuck he was talking about.

"And I think the only Republican strategy, in the long run, is to pick issues and win by margins so big that they can't steal them," he added. "If you have a very close election, Democrats have a passion for stealing them."

Issues such as job creation and fighting inflation? Republicans ran on that then when they got into office, they instead went after women's right to choose and the LGBTQ community. Republicans offer nothing to Generation Z. They've lost the youth vote, so a few Republicans have expressed a desire to raise the voting age.

Again, why is Newt Gingrich still a thing?
