Fox’s Kilmeade Calls Anti-Jordan Republican ‘Dumba**’ On Hot Mic
That’s not going to help quell the Republican civil war.
If you were watching Fox News when Rep. Jim Jordan lost the first round of votes for his speakership, you could not miss host Brian Kilmeade sticking his two cents into the process.
When the clerk called for Rep. Don Bacon’s vote, the Republican from a swing district in Nebraska voted for Kevin McCarthy as the next speaker of the House. Kilmeade said very clearly on his hot mic, “Dumba**.”
Bacon had already said he would not vote for Jordan, so it’s not as if Bacon’s vote was much of a surprise to Kilmeade. But, apparently, Sean Hannity is not the only Fox News host who thinks getting Jordan elected speaker is part of his job. Earlier on Fox & Friends, cohost Ainsley Earhardt, Hannity’s partner in “domestic bliss,” did her part for the cause by urging viewers to vote out any Republican not voting for Jordan. Cohost Lawrence Jones agreed it was “ridiculous” Jordan did not seem to have the necessary votes. Kilmeade called the House Republicans “a carnival of idiots” on the show.
So how much of an accident was Kilmeade’s “dumba**” remark?
