Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), an advocate for sexual assault victims, offered no defense of Rep. Jim Jordan's Ohio State wrestling controversy as she supported his bid for House Speaker.

On Sunday, CBS host Margaret Brennan asked Mace about allegations that Jordan knew wrestlers were being sexually abused when he was a coach at the school.

"I know you've been outspoken about defending victims of sexual assault," Brennan observed. "Do the past allegations against Jim Jordan that he turned a blind eye to sexual abuse give you any reservations?"

"I — yeah, I'm not familiar or aware with that," Mace replied. "He's not indicted on anything that I'm aware of. And so I don't I don't know anything. I can't speak to that."

"How do you square that?" Brennan pressed. "These are the Ohio State University allegations."

"Yeah, yeah, I don't know anything — I don't know anything about that," Mace insisted. "What I do know is that I've been a very strong voice for women. I've talked to Jim Jordan and Steve Scalise about that."

"I've been a very strong advocate for rape victims, as you mentioned earlier," she added. "And those are the facts and the data that I have to work with. And I've had a very positive experience with him in that regard."

Jordan has been accused of ignoring the sexual abuse of wrestlers during his time at Ohio State.
