Across the country, the right is really pushing hard to expand private voucher schools. If their insistence and unconvincing sales spiel only serves to make you more suspicious, you right to do so. Trae Crowder gets into the ways that they are bad and that their only real purpose is to siphon money away from public sector schools, especially those in poor or minority communites and channel it to the wealthy people who are already sending their kids to school. Meanwhile, it does nothing to help the poor or the minority students. It's not coincidence that the dark money groups that are behind the astroturf groups pushing for these schools are also know for their racist agendas.
