Lieberman Predicts Democrats Will Extend Tax Cuts For The Rich

Sen. Joe Lieberman said Sunday that he believes that when Congress comes back into session this fall that Democrats will vote to extend tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans. "We've got to extend these tax cuts," Lieberman told CNN's Candy

CNN noted:

Lieberman said it's easy to make wealthy people a boogeyman but said they're the ones who spur economic growth.

If Congress fails to act, Lieberman said, "everybody's taxes go up in January."

Lieberman is one of two independent senators; he will be up for re-election in 2012.
