Linda Ronstadt revealed to AARP this month that she "can't sing a note" after a protracted battle with Parkinson's Disease. The 11-time Grammy winner also told the magazine that she uses poles to help her walk on uneven ground and travels with a wheelchair due to the degenerative disease.

Although Ronstadt’s new memoir, Simple Dreams, will appear on September 17, it does not discuss her diagnosis, or the loss of her voice. Simple Dreams is available for pre-order here.
