The Tax Dodgers celebrated yet another record-breaking season at the headquarters of their sponsors, GE, Verizon, Wells Fargo, and Bank of America. The team was joined by their hula-hooping cheerleading squad, The Loopholes, and together, they will be personally thanking everyday New Yorkers for paying their taxes for them.

Members of the 99% gathered early in the morning in the five boroughs on Tuesday for planned Tax Day activities and protests. They spoke with people throughout the day as they dropped off their taxes in the mail about how they paid less taxes than corporations, and members of the 1% like Mitt Romney. They passed out information sheets about tax dodgers and talked to people as they walked by or into the post office.

Protesters gathered in front of the James A. Farley Post Office in Manhattan to demand banks, large corporations, and the 1 percent to pay their fair share of taxes.

NYCC Flatbush Chapter Chairperson Leroy Johnson said, “I’m out here this morning to make sure that my fellow Brooklyn Residents know that the big banks, corporations and members of the 1% aren’t pulling their weight. We’re out here waiting in a line to put our taxes in the mail and pay our fair share while they’re out spending money that could go to our schools, our fire departments--the things the people really need-- on lobbyists so they can get out of paying what they owe to our society.”

Here, the Tax Dodgers are outside Trump Tower in New York on Tax Day 2012. The team's official mascot, 'Mitt' came along in order to help Donald Trump throw a birthday party for Anne Romney, where Mitt himself is expected to show. The team's house band, the Occuponics, will helped them sing joyous renditions of 'Take Me Out To The Tax Game.'

Here, protesters are leafleting outside the IRS at W. 44th St. to inform people where most of our income tax dollars end up getting spend, approximately 47% on the military, followed by a march to the General Post Office GPO to meet up with other organizations involved with tax day protests.

In the video, Barbara Harris of the Granny Peace Brigade explains the need for more money for education, health care, etc., but the budget for human services continues to be cut. It is followed by a march with the Rude Mechanical Orchestra, the War Resisters League, and the NYC People's Life Fund. Outside GPO, Make the Road NY rallied for economic justice, calling on those--in particular Bank of America--to pay their fair share of taxes.

The Tax Dodgers, and Corporate Loopholes performance troupe also made appearances outside several corporate headquarters in solidarity. They also gave out envelopes of money to people containing nothing more than a penny to inform how people pay more taxes than corporations like GE, who paid no taxes, yet received over 3 billion in tax credits.

Among the participants in the rallies and protests included community residents, students, retirees, and members of groups and unions including: UnitedNY, La Fuente, VOCAL NY, Community Voices Heard, CWA, UFT, Strong Economy for All , New York Communities for Change , Make the Road New York , 32BJ, 1199, Central Labor Council, TWU, UAW, PSC, National People's Action, Working Families Party, and Move On.
