Nights At The Roundtable - The Hush - 1968

(The Hush - sometimes a band is so obscure and fleeting that even the promo picture is obscure) [media id=17276] Another band from the halcyon day

(The Hush - sometimes a band is so obscure and fleeting that even the promo picture is obscure)

The Hush, is an almost complete mystery aside from the fact they came from Birmingham, England and there's an unsubstantiated rumor one of the singers in the band was briefly Albert Hammond, who would later go on to achieve great fame as a singer-songwriter with such early 70s classics as "The Air That I Breathe" and "It Never Rains In Southern California". But like I said, it hasn't been substantiated. One site claims it's true while the other makes no mention. Toss a coin or study the grainy photo above and try to figure out which one he was.

In any case, The Hush had only one single out and this track, Grey was the b-side and issued in 1968. No other information seems to exist, and no other unissued tracks have popped up.

Sometimes the history of a music genre can be as mysterious and frustrating as it is satisfying.

But it's never dull.
