King Pleasure. Everyone is familiar with his almost-trademark song "Moody's Mood For Love", so I thought I would play another memorable tune, This Is Always. Recorded on December 29, 1953 and featuring members of the Modern Jazz Quartet(minus Milt Jackson) along with the Dave Lambert Singers. This is another one of those records I got as a kid from a thrift shop where I managed to completely wear it out playing it until I was old enough to buy the lp version.

Needless to say, I am rather fond of it for a lot of reasons. Not the least that it's just a great track by one of the truly legendary Vocalese singers of the 20th century. And that alone is worth giving it a listen.
