Rodger Collins is alive and well and recording up a storm and he has a new album out to prove it. In 1967 he recorded what I thought was probably the biggest hit of that year. Only I was wrong. I did some research on tonight's track, and
She's Looking Good only made it to #101 on the pop charts and #34 on the R&B charts. That's weird, because I distinctly remember hearing it almost constantly for weeks on end in the early part of 1967. Perhaps I imagined the whole thing or maybe I just assumed I heard it everywhere.
In any case, it's a great track by an artist who is still with us and a reminder that good music has no sell-by date.
