The Daily Show Lampoons Kentucky's Attempt At Passing Nullification Law

The Daily Show's Jason Jones lampooned Kentucky state Sen. Damon Thayer, and his attempt to pass an unconstitutional "nullification law" which would have nullified any federal legislation limiting gun ownership in the state.

country ratified an ordinance which would nullify any state law which attempts to nullify federal law.

If that was too confusing for anyone, Jones did a nice job of summing up the absurdity of all of it at the end of the segment.

JONES: He's right. Kentucky is a law-abiding society. Except for the laws they don't feel they need to abide by. [...]

Yes, who's the country or the state or those left-wing liberals in D.C. to tell us what to do? Americans know best at the local level. And laws shouldn't apply to us if we didn't vote for the people who made them. I mean, seriously, is it really going to kill someone?

We know what's best for ourselves, and our children.
