I love, love, love Alain de Botton. I've read almost all of his books voraciously, staying up until the wee hours of the night because I was unwilling to put them down. The new year is typically full of wishes and resolutions for success in the coming year, but de Botton looks at a kinder, gentler philosophy of success.
