Bull Durham (1988)

We all walk around with a core set of beliefs. I believe that this country benefits from progressive politics, that we need an honest and independent media. I believe that the OWS movement has incrementally shifted the conversation, but that we have far to go. I believe that committed, smart and politically engaged liberals can disagree. I believe that the entire country needs collective lessons in manners and respectful interchanges. And I believe that Sunday after Sunday, the news shows will spend more time on what they think you should believe instead of what really matters. Those long, slow kisses? I believe in those too.

ABC's "This Week With Christiane Amanpour" - Sen. Patrick J. Toomey (R-Pa.); former Secretary of State Colin L. Powell; actor-activist Matt Damon; Microsoft chairman Bill Gates

NBC's "Meet the Press" - Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.; Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform.

NBC's "The Chris Matthews Show" - Panel: Clarence Page, Andrew Sullivan, Kelly O'Donnell, Katty Kay. Topics: Obama and Romney Are Already Running Against Each Other. Will Some Big Sports Universities Do Anything To Keep the Magic Going? Meter Questions: Could a 3rd party could determine the winner next year? Is A Turnaround CEO More Likely To Appeal to Middle Class Voters Than A Populist?

CBS' "Face the Nation" - Author Walter Isaacson; author Michael Lewis; former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice; author Kathryn Stockett.

CNN's "State of the Union" - 2012 GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain; Rice.

CNN's "Fareed Zakaria GPS" - Steve Jobs biography, innovation: author Walter Isaacson; inventor James Dyson; the U.S. and the global economy: economist Michael Spence.

CNN's "Reliable Sources" - Coverage of former House Speaker Newt Gingrich's presidential bid; "super committee"; criticism of GOP candidates: blogger Andrew Sullivan.

"Fox News Sunday" - 2012 GOP presidential candidate Jon Huntsman; Sens. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., and Jon Kyl, R-Ariz.

So what's catching your eye this morning?
