Steely Dan is best known for their fusion of jazz and rock, but also hiring a ton of session musicians. Not that there's anything wrong with that, mind you, as the group would end up working with some of the most talented performers in the business. And this definitely worked in their favor, seeing as how Aja would go on to be one of the most acclaimed albums of all time.
