One port worker just asked a sheriff when this would be over, sheriff shrugged and the worker looked annoyed.
Three helicopters circling overhead. A big circling picket line. Mood is celebratory.
6:23 am: I'm terrible at crowd counts but guessing it's 1000 ppl in this part of the march as we are just arriving at the port now. Trucks have pulled over; spirits are high. Police blocked freeway exits but no visible presence otherwise, besides a helicopter. I am now at berths 55-56, zone 4 of 7 zones; Boots Riley on a megaphone says only two ships in port today, and other berths are being blocked by other parts of the march.
EDITOR'S NOTE: Instead of live tweeting like Susie normally does, she's sending me emails every couple of minutes of the port shut down.
