A proposed postcard for the Bush Presidential Library Bookstore by Tobycards, used by permission. Toby asks for suggestions for what really should go in the Bush Presidential Library?
A list of titles documenting and exposing the evil, scum-bag duplicity and machinations of the shameless coven known as the Bush administration, with regards to both domestic policy and the war in Iraq, surely goes on and on and on, and I will humbly accept additions and corrections to my scant and totally un-researched bibliography.
Leave responses to that query at his place, open thread for everything else here.

frist!
When's the fundraising for the Counter-Bush Library across the street?
It'll need to be BIG!
Iceland just left the Iraq coalition, someone had the good sense to write a pop song about it. (Funny, from Kos and TPM today)

maybe some used diapers.
The members of the Senate continue to be doormats. Global warming makes Lake Superior inferior. Five states defend children's rights to health care. A court threw out Bush's classification of previous administration files.
maybe instruction, that Rove gave Bush, on how to wipe his butt. Rove found out what real "coffee stains" were when he had to cover up George's dirty laundry.
:O
Two words to solve domestic serveillance and ATT's no criticism policy:
Homing Pigeons.
ummm .. how does this sound?
26th (or so) december, Mossad and the CIA set off a small nuclear device in Betlehem. Phoney missile is sent to the site, but the bomb itself goes off underground.
"Miraculously", a second missile aimed for Jerusalem "crashes". It bears evidence the Iranians launched it.
At the same time, Hollywood is oblitherated in another explosion, a couple of other nuclear devices are found in the US.
Bush appears on TV: "They have gone nucelar on us!"
Emergency law, Bush president indefinetly.
Israel & US invade Iran.
Draft instated.
Everything is rolling by the first weekend of 2008.
"The Pet Goat", anyone?
Its not "My Pet Goat", by the way...
shakes fist at btny...you beat me to it
Now I head that the Bush Presidential Library had burned down and both books were destroyed. Bush was really mad because he hadn’t finish coloring in one of them!
Kald @ 8:
Do you think anyone except the 29%ers would see this ficticious scenario as anything but a false flag operation?
Pfft! Who cares. They would do it to convince themselves they are right. No one is easier to fool than oneself!
Kald @ 13:
The cure for that is to stop talking to yourself. then you wont get fooled again
That's how it goes, Nick. Great minds and all...
Heh..heh..heh. Loved that nuclear idea. Might just use that one myself.
Um, seriously. How a about the charred ashes of the constitution, declaration of independence, and all the federalist papers. Put them all in a large jar with a gallon of Darth Cheney's urine. Place it on a pedestal in the center of this library from hell just above a plaque that reads "Go fuck yourself".
I think that about sums up the whole 8 years, assuming they go quietly.
a bust of bush made from the largest pile of sunlight shit.
Toby asks for suggestions for what really should go in the Bush Presidential Library?
Superfund site for depleted uranium mixed with World Trade Center rubble, irradiated sand, Katrina dumpsite replete with oilslick, and George bush's cell where people can pay donations to charity to throw garbage at bush and cheney. What else is there to his legacy?
a wooden chair with a large hole in the seat so when bush himself sits down on it
so cheney can insert his hand for the animatronics portion of the library tour.
Kald @ 8:
how did you get these secret plans of bush/cheney out of cheney's mansized safe?
btny @ 9:
Damn! The press has misinformed me again!
Not Kidding.
Did Amy Goodman have a stroke? Or is she ill? I noticed that comparing today's program with Friday she had considerably less movement and blinking on the right side of her face. This is just a concern.
T.R. kielikello @ 22:
Something's not right even only her left eye blinks.
Rambo shares his concerns regarding Burma.
supplement fax @ 11:
The Bush administration has been so fascist, wouldn't it be fun and appropriate to have a book burning at his library?

One thing's for sure. You can't call her a barbie doll journalist. No sense of self consiousness with her. She just keeps doing what she does best.
naschkatze @ 25:
great idea--he's already burned the constitution and international treaties.
CNN never reported the 12 Palestinians killed by Israel on Friday , another example of their pro-Israel BIAS , oh they did have it on the banner on the bottom, the scroll or what ever . If you blinked you would have missed it . We''ll they're not covering the AIPAC spy scandal , either no surprise . Every week dozens of Palestinians are being killed by the IDF , and the infotainment media , can spend hours on some guy who broke out of prison , the weather or the bathroom stall that Larry Craig was caught , practicing his deviant behavior , but it seems Palestinians are not " worthy victims " .
But after Bush gave his PHONY heartfelt speech about Burma , the sycophantic media woke up and said, oh yes pres. bush you're right , this is the most important story . When none of them said squat about Burma , before bush's UN speech .
And why in the HELL , do we have to wait For Seymour Hersh pop up with a blockbuster story couple times a year , this time about bush's barbaric attack on Iran . WHERE THE HELL is CNN , CBS ,NBC , ABC etc. etc. THEY should be covering this on coming insanity , by the maniac in the White House , but since they cover the news so badly and wait for instructions from the Spin pimps , and traitorous politicians and favor market research driven " news " we get bullshit . Crap is about to hit the fan , and wait for oil prices to get even higher.
dadams @ 29:
If Bush burned all the books he actually read and understood no flame would be required.

I wrote this earlier on another thread but will repeat it just for you.
xoites defends Constitution @ 31:
I'm am reading Neck Deep by Robert Parry. If Bush would read one of Parry's books, maybe he would find out how fucked up he is.
The Democrats in the Senate voted to continue the Genocide in Iraq...
Why in the hell is any empowered and informed citizen of the U.S. Homeland still either a Republican or a Democrat?
I just don't get the apathy, the fear, the cognitive dissonance.

They did more than that. They gave him permision to do what he wants in Iran.
(I am a Green Party member, not that that is worth anything. A more disorganized group would be hard to find. On the other hand they can't even start a bar fight much less a war.)
xoites defends Constitution @ 35:
You're great in the middle. Don't go too far left. You lose credibility.
Hopefully the library will include newspaper clippings of the Bush/Cheney war crimes trial with photographs of them being led off to prison.
Ron @ 36:
I am not lunchean meat, thank you. I am farther left than the Green Party. Do i sound "middle" to you? Dear GOD! i AM getting old!
supplementfax@11
you are most unkind! The Library clearly had more than 2 books in it!
Haven't you forgotten the immortal "My Pet Goat" and now Jenna Bush's entry for the Pulitzer - "I can only read when I am sober - which is about a 10th of the time".
xoites defends Constitution @ 38:
O.K, middle left. Not far left.
bettestreep @ 39:
I thought i just saw that Jenna Bush wrote a book on AIDS in Central America. I am not making this up!
I can't imagine who ghost wrote it for her.
Define "far left" if you will. I bathe and shave and wear clean clothes and go to work. Now i agree i should figure out a way to not contribute to an insane economy, but i like eating. What else?
xoites defends Constitution @ 42:
I gues I would say far left is the opposite of the far right that we have now. to the extreme.
Ron @ 43:
No, they are not mirror images of each other. If you ask Bill O'Rielly a "far leftist" is someone who votes for health care.
I was watching Hardball today and Tony Perkins was on the TeeVee spouting nonsense about how the Religious Right was going to form their own party if they didn't get a candidate besides cross-dressing, abortion-loving Rudy to be the front runner... sounds like blackmail to me...BTW... anyway, if they want to go form their own party, I say GO for it, Tony! Maybe then, the low end of that bell curve will be put back in their proper place.
Anything from Dr Seuss
xoites defends Constitution @ 44:
Believe me, I not going to try to get that nutcase's opinion. I see you early and late. How you doing?
Ron @ 47:
I am doing well. I have moved to Nevada so i get to post both early and late. :) And you?
Quick comment to say that I've tossed together a blog for Talk Like a Quaker Day. While I'm staying away from any "serious" blogging in deference to the whole sleep debt thing, I can hardly pass up a fun thing like this.

Ok, email me and i will give you my new number and we can talk about it on a weekend. :)
hi Stan. :)
Since this is an open thread...
Will George Bush and Richard Cheney EVER be punished for their crimes? I don't understand how these two treasonous bastards can continue to rape the world and our treasury, and nobody does anything about it.
Why do the Democrats take impeachment off the table? What are they afraid of? Are they being blackmailed?
Something just isn't right in the United States, and I'm afraid things will get much worse before they get better.
xoites defends Constitution @ 52:
OoooKay.
Lollimom @ 54:
The simple answer is "no."
They fully comprehend the "Just Us" system even if they comprehend little else.
I thought you'd see yourself in that quote, xoites. :-) What was the original, Fahrenheit 451? Michael Moore chose his title wisely.
Ron @ 55:
Hey, you can call me on that 800 number I gave you.
Ron @ 59:

LOL
I must go and take a shirt. :)
> Four Hundred and Fifty Degrees Fahrenheit. The temperature at which paper burns.
Just in case there are any out there that don't know it (like our right-wing lurkers), the premise of the book/movie in which we speak is a futuristic society, that of course had a "commons" (Thom Hartman), a fire department. And when someone found any books, they called that fire department and the firemen came out and burned the books. It was incredibly "vision"ary. We are certainly going in that direction.
GNA! :)

Along with Crooks and Liars, I visit his website--bobgeiger(dot)blogspot(dot)com--on a dailey basis for the real truth. His website has not been updated since August 27,2007. He said on his site that he was going on 'hiatus' when Congress adjourned and would return.
I miss his articles, list on committee schedules AND Saturday Cartoons! Surely he misses his readers.

Yes I do blame that thug general Than Shwe. And the soliders do, without the soliders, he's nothing.
Stanley Rosenthal @ 90:
Stanley, Don't I wish...
Stan, You can't know the doctor anymore. Now you have to know the Health Care Provider, (privately held), and the hospital adminstrator (privately held), and even then, it's irrelevant. Too many pink handed, money changers in the way...
If you only knew the tales I have picked up over the past several months...
Hello insomniacs and east coast early risers....and ex-pats-and folks not in the US.
I haven't been to a dentist in 10 years. I am just religious in brushing my teeth. So far so good.
TC @ 97:
Good luck with that one. Just make sure that when you go in for that minor $200 treatment you aren't gassed with Nitrous and end up needing $8000 worth of repairs due to the incompetent asshat behind the mask who has to pay for his two German sports cars and the custom built home in Alpharetta. Here in Georgia, the land of ONE Dental College, they limit enrollment to as to keep the prices escalated above and beyond what the average uninsured citizen can afford.
I would knock my teeth our with a hammer before I paid one of these corrupt, greedy bastards one thin dime for their "services" - period.
P.S. - Nice segue.
No it's not a macho game.....I'm saying I haven't had any health insurance for it.....that's all I was saying. I'd go to a dentist, of course I would. Yeah, stuff might cost too much but I'd rather them do my teeth than a welder (with all due respect to welders, I doubt their dentistry skills are too strong :) )
Something frightening I learned today is the Vice President has no limit on the number of terms he/she may serve. Since Cheney runs things anyway... It just made my stomach sink a bit. I was reading the US Constitutioanl Amendments. (One reason why I love the internets-- right at my home desktop.)
Yeah, one sock puppet after another. Makes the heart sing, eh?
In the movie "The Demon Seed" a story is told of the Chinese Emperor who burned all historical records predating him. Sounds to me like Bush's belief that his version of history will be all that's remembered.
The computer's response of what it thought of the emperor is the same I have of Bush and what can fill any library dedicated to him and his works.
Nothing.
Oh yeah, and I love slummin' it over at YouTube. I can sometimes get a bit of a potty-mouthed with these rednecks, but delight in doing so. Gotta blow off steam somehow. ;)
TC @ 100:
And who does (in the US) anymore?
My point was that due to "insurance", they have degenerated into avaricious maggots with no sense of honor, and who persue profits above realistic treatment. Perhaps that's my personal experience, but I wouldn't trust a US dentist any further than I could throw him/her.
Or especially a lawyer, or a doctor. They run in packs...
How about a book on The Comma, and Tony-Snow-grammatical-talking points. Stuff like, "Parse this you liberal windbag," and other fun ones, "I didn't use any gerunds, you freak!". "Norman Rockwell moments" from this presidency.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Toby, that was a fun read. Thanks
chimpy's library will be one scary read.
Gawd, I hope he does leave his brain to science.
Pure evil. If chimpy carries out his plan to aid Israel by destroying Iran, there will be hell to pay.
On another note:
Squeaky (hardball) was straining to find something to pick on Sen. Clinton. In all his wannabe metrosexual attitude all he could blather up was her "cackle" and something else just as frivolous, I think he used the term about about when will she lose steam. What picky bitch questions. GMAFB!
Loofah boy was crying like chimpy about his racist comment and the MSM. PATHETIC!
I loved Mr. Oberman's take on what to bring up when confronted by fox hounds (during his off hours) concerning loofah boy's racist remarks.
Inasmuch as Bush is the GOP's swan song, and they know it, put in his 'library' a photo of the smiling Bushes with Karl Rove in the center and a copy of My Pet Goat next to it.
TC @ 96:
Hi TC. Expat from east (Ontario, Canada) in Asia, that rises early too, here. I hit them all but insomniac. That I'm never.
A copy of the Constitution. First the GOP light it on fire (shit eating grins needed here), then they collectively urinate on it for a photo-op. Frame charred remains. Bush quote to hang under it, "It was just a godamned piece of paper."
SatanHimself @ 3:
What about Poland?
neil @ 112:
Oh yeah, "The Coalition". $10 to anyone that can name them all without going to google or elsewhere. USA, England, Iceland & Poland (see above), Papua New Guinea, and... _________????? Two "heavy hitters" and a host of nations that wanted free gift bags (economic aid).
Toby asks for suggestions for what really should go in the Bush Presidential Library?
the walls should be painted with oil with a wallpaper border made up of signing statements and shitstains on the constitution, the air should be contaminated with toxins and pollutants, the floor- a wall-to-wall tank filled with blood, and the rest, bones of all the people this cabal has murdered, from the neglected sick, poor, and homeless, to the soldiers and iraqi civilians killed. nothing else. that's his legacy.
dadams @ 19:
The building shot be contracted to illegal immigrants. Also in front of his chair should be cardboard cutouts of some school children that he's reading to from the state of Florida.
It will be a video store.
Edwin @ 113:
I remember Costa Rica was in for a while... did they leave yet?
Anyway, I read somewhere this past spring that the "coalition of the
willingleaving" expected to withdraw most of their troops by around this time (September - December), and that the number of troops from all the nations in the coalition by the end of this year is going to be barely over 1,000... maybe 3,000 at the absolute most.I think the Bush Presidential Library should be one big empty building, because he keeps everything so secret, there wouldn't be anything he would donate to the library anyway. It'll be a sort of minimalist, Zen-like homage to his shitty legacy.
The illustrated book of Bush's homosexual prostitute Jeff Gannon.

U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly ruled that the U.S. Archivist's reliance on the executive order to delay release of the papers of former presidents is "arbitrary, capricious, an abuse of discretion and not in accordance with law.

OPEN LETTER TO HARRY REID:
In Nov. 06 the Democratic party became the majority in the house and the senate. It's time this majority starts enjoying some of it's PERKS.
1.. Only bring bills to the floor that is in the
best interest of the American people and can
advance the Democratic agenda, eg SCHIP.
2.. Block all repuKKKan bills that advance their
argument and agenda, eg. condemning MoveOn.org.
3.. Bully the repuKKKans into voting with you by
threatening to refuse all their bills they want
to introduce on the floor.
4.. Use the bully pulpit to put THE DEMOCRATIC
AGENDA in front of the American people.
5.. HOLD THE PRESIDENT FOOT TO THE FIRE ON IRAQ.
6.. Look into why ALL television sets on ALL
military bases and military installations are
ALL ordered to be tuned to FOX NEWS.
7.. The congress has the POWER to pull rush
LIMPbaugh from the Arm Force Radio stations for
his comment about phony soldiers.
8.. The soldiers need to hear the real news and
stories of the day from other radio hosts like
Ed Schultz.
9.. Use your power and have the FCC investigate
fox news, sean hannity and rush limpbaugh in
their reporting of so-called news stories
which most of the time are erroneous opinions
they put forward as real news to a large
segment of the population..... this violates
section 73 1217 and other sections of the FCC
regulations.
So senator Harry Reid and fellow Democrats, use
your majority in congress to PUSH forward the Democratic agenda and the American People wishes. Remember you are the boss, you are in charge and you are in the MAJORITY so stop cowering when the repuKKKans bark.

FYI,
I saw on USAJobs.com that they are looking for someone to take as the Public Affairs Officer at the shrub 43 residential library.
The job cut-off date was extended. I'm assuming because no one wanted it.
I thought that was kind of funny.
