Mo Rocca Thinks The Candidates Need A Break
By Nicole Belle Sunday Mar 09, 2008 11:50am
...and so do we. From CBS's Sunday Morning Show, comedian and commentator Mo Rocca comments on how fatiguing the Democratic primary season must be for the candidates and how everyone might be better off if we all collectively enjoyed a little Spring Break from politics. How 'bout deciding the dem winner by a wet t-shirt contest?
I think we all need a break from the madness. The fact McCain is the nominee has me nervous. We are broke and he talks of bombing Iran and being in Iraq for a hundred years. It makes me shudder.

That glyph over Hillary's mouth looks like a bondage gag.
Has Hillary ever xeroxed her butt?
The Candidates can take some time

Couldn't he have avoided saying blackberry?
We need a break from these candidates, har har. Yawn.

Perhaps, but she accused Obama of that
Wow, great Andy Rooney impresion Mo! You nailed i... Wait... that wasn't an, err...yeah.
Since election to the presidency of the United States has become a license to steal billions from it's citizens and their descendants; I feel no pity for those running for this office.
I think Barak and Hillary could actually agree to this. Just call each other, agree to a break in campaigning. Say from now until July 5th?
Sounds like good advice from Mo. Lots of obsessed people out there who could use to take a break from "politics."
Good idea. One full week off. Starting right effin' now.
If they start dropping jello shots and yanking up their tops, and you have video, I'll pass.
Suits-Suits-Suits

Would have broken the xerox machine! Butt ugly!
With Rush Limbaugh and the neocons supporting Hillary (as a joke mind you, but she'll take it) perhaps she can afford to take a day or two off.
Taking a break from politics is what got us BUSH'd. No thanks, stay active , stay informed, support your chosen nominee. This is Democracy in action folks and we're fired up.
I'm sure McCain and his minions would love nothing better than for us to take a break.
so this guy a comedian?
o wait it's cbs.
sure, he's a comedian alright.
jared @ 10:
Maybe Mo heard that position was going to be open soon.
bobswire @ 18:
All good advice for the well-adjusted people out there, but keep in mind some have taken the crusade to the point where it's destroying their own mental, physical and spiritual health.
YESSSSSSSS!!!!! We all need a break and I imagine the candidates could use one too. It would be EXHAUSTING to run like they have been for months now. Maybe they wouldn't be so short tempered either and we can get back to some problem solving and cooperation.
ysbaddaden @ 5:
Admit it, you see bondage gags everywhere.

Wow ! Any other Clinton staffers out there with big, unauthorized contributions ruining their credit but helping Billary " go all the way to the WH " ? Imagine what they could do with what's left of the U.S. treasury that their golfing partners haven't already taken !
Blue Lensman @ 1:
Obama would win that one for sure! ZIIIING!

What we really need is a break from Israel. What we really need, is to stop funding a rouge state.

I'd love to hear from those who vehemently support Israel, especially on C&L. How are you going to spin this one? How are you going to justify your blind support for a racist society, a racist government and a nation you conveniently know nothing about except that it's your so-called promised f$(@* Jewish homeland.
Bill Clinton, on the Rush Limbaugh show, day of Texas primary.
McDuff @ 30:
Obviously you decided you needed a break from the thread's topic and wander into off-topic territory.
Obama: 'If I am not ready, why do you think I would be such a great vice president?'
The Dude @ 32:
Wow. That's a scathing comeback.
Obviously, you're not the site monitor. You're a little peeved, otherwise you wouldn't use that straw man argument. Next time, just say you agree with Israel's racist policies and rhetoric. You will lose your credibility, but that's the price you pay for being a bigot instead of concealing your bigotry behind feeble "off topic" arguments.
McDuff @ 30:
I am a Jew, was born and raised religiously in a Jewish household and matriculated in Hebrew, and was an ardent and passionate Zionist all my life until about 5 years ago when self education turned me around 360 degrees.
I am now ashamed of being a Jew. That's all I am going to say. But I am horrified at the genocide being perpetrated against the Palestinian people as an entitlement all in the name of the Holocaust.
Crap, they're just figuring this out NOW? After a year of shoving 'inevitable Hillary' down our throats?

I've worn a few too.
Mo Rocca is a bit too young and uninformed for me to pay too much attention to. Last week he made a statement that spring break was made famous by MTV. Funny, I remember the movie "Where The Boys Are." A popular 1960 movie made with at the time popular actors about spring break in Florida. Ya know, ya don't need experience if ya know your subject matter.
marco @ 16:
Would have broken the machine. TOOO HEAVY!!
She'd have to use the zoom control just to get that puppy on an 11x17!
Mo Rocca thinks?
Do we really need more idiots on TV?
It’s over
Dave Hussein @ 42:
Apparently not everyone agrees.

Interesting how your video graphic comes up. Why not gag Obama? I'm just sayin' is all. Plus, his supporters have soooo turned me off for voting for him if he wins the primary. I'll vote for him anyway in the general election, but just so I don't feel like a whore, I'll never watch Oprah again, or buy a book that she's shilling. And I'll probably criticize him while he's in office. I don't know that this guy can get anything done!
