Can you imagine what the CPI will look like when inflation eventually creaps into all sectors? They will always keep the CPI number at plus 1-2% while saying (this number excludes the costs of food, energy, household appliances, automotive, real estate, apparel, etc) all of which will be rising in price.

It's always difficult to discuss the downsides of Affirmative Action because to do so one is labelled racist, just as certainly as one who mentions the Israeli Genocide of the Palestinians is certain to be labelled anti-semitic.
Yet both discussions are valid and necessary.
So perhaps it's a good thing that this conflict has erupted within the Democratic Party.
Hopefully so-called Liberals and Progressives will be less likely to automatically label as racist those who point out the glaring inequities and political conflicts spawned by Affirmative Action.
Replacing de facto White Male Entitlement with Minority Entitlement Statutes simply "rearranges the deck chairs" of the underlying racism and sexism. If does not end the racism or the sexism. In fact, in many ways it accentuates the very problems it was intended to address.
So .. where do we go from here?
Hmm... Maybe if they prayed Bush and Cheney left office this month versus next year, and that the press would get a clue...
