Bush blames Dems for the lack of a real energy policy. McCain is making the same mistakes as Hillary. Obama takes McCain to task for voting against flood assistance for people like those in Iowa. L.A. commuters finally take a bus. Too bad the company making them is run by cheap-skates who don't like giving passengers proper seating room. I keep thinking of those slave ships, whenever I'm on one...

Maybe Bush could let the Dems know what went on and who was involved in the secret energy policy meetings that Cheney held so they can have a way to really address the issue.
that rotten iranian feeding those damn pigeons...i knew he was up to no good the minute i saw him.
do you know how hard it is to get dive bombing pigeon poop off you? huh?
if we start letting one, evil, rogue state have pigeons then soon they'll all have 'em. back to the stone age i tell ya...
Hey, I don't mean to make trouble, but we have a lot of Iranians living here, you know. And they're nice people. Just like all the other nationalities who are here as well.
We have lots of pigeons, too. And eagles, ospreys, and hawks ... just saying, that's all. There's room for all of us on this earth. Neocons, are you listening ?

Do they have oil? I mean the pigeons, eagles, ospreys and hawks. That's all that the neocons care about. They want to control it all. Not trying to be a smart ass but, that's all they care about.

What shit is that? Invading Iran? Having the next Democratic Presidential Candidate smeared from here to kingdom come? Offshore drilling from coast to coast? the end of the United States Constitution?
35 Peter G Says: Wouldn’t it be better to organize campaigns directed at senators to indicate the general displeasure FISA is causing?
==========================
That is part of it Peter. We have to push from several different directions.
We need to let elected officials know that if they do not support a repeal that they will be opposed for reelection. Right now it looks like it is going to pass in two days. We have to get started now to repeal it after the election when we have a new government.
You've got to be taught to hate and fear
You've got to be taught from year to year
It's got to be drummed in your dear little ear
You've got to be carefully taught
You've got to be taught to be afraid
Of people whose eyes are oddly made
And people whose skin is a different shade
You've got to be carefully taught
You've got to be taught before it's too late
Before you are six or seven or eight
To hate all the people your relatives hate
You've got to be carefully taught
You've got to be carefully taught

yeah, there are times that ya wonder.
The thing is nothing is going to change until we get a real President.
Only then will we start repairing this country. I share your angst x
But reality is , it takes time to change the thing that were done.
I think we're on the right track with Obama. Coupled with a majority in both houses, it should happen in the near future.
If it doesn't, I don't know what to tell you. But I'm sure that we'll all be very pissed off.
I refuse to sit on my ass and wait for the right President to come along, sorry.
That's not what I'm saying x.
the ground work has to be laid first. And you're playing a part in that. My hats off to to you.
But once we get a majority in both houses, it will become a reality.
By all means keep going, there's a lot at stake.

That will just be the beginning. We have to make sure this never happens again.

x, we'll be fighting this kinda thing for the rest of our lives.
it's nice to see some of the youth paying attention. cause they have to deal with the new batch of repugs coming.
and they ain't that far away.

mudshark has a good point. A majority in both houses would be good. More then good if we can keep McCain out of office.
I'm just glad a lot of the 'cut off my nose to spite my face' talk is dying down. Let's remember that two and probably three seats in the Supreme Court are at stake in November. If folks think FISA is bad, imagine what a strong Neocon majority SCOTUS would be able to do. My guess is that it would make FISA seem like a weak fart in a strong wind.

A vast majority isn't as long of a shot as it used to be. There are a few seats that the Repubs seem to just be giving up and a few red states that are cracking around the edges. Nothing like seeing long held red seats suddenly turn blue.
Putting the proverbial finger in the dyke to stop the ocean from drowning us, we've got to at least flood the Senate, particularly Obama, Feinstein the Crook, and Chris Dodd (beg him to filibuster again), but I'm with X - if we do nothing, we get what we deserve. I've already left about 30 messages at different phone numbers to various Senators. Hope we can fill the vm boxes against FISA by Monday morning.
I was just over at the music club for a few minutes listening to Everybody has the Blues by Taj Mahal and Dr John ... and it reminded me so much of what happened yesterday. Everyone felt blue and depressed .. me included, and I don't even live in your country.
I am certain there are many more people around the world who felt the same way. Good things happen when people make them happen. You have a lot of worldwide support.
i don't really understand why bush needed to go beyond the law that already existed prior to FISA (war).........wiretaps were always approved if needed........i understand why they want this passed now because they're covering their ass. the republicans and any democrats that are in on it. the dems probably got strong armed during build up to war to take away 4th amendment......at least water it down. telecom has a very strong lobby i'm sure its been tough behind closed doors....this deal is probably done
I like to remind people that November is about voting for the better candidate. Not some sort of mighty demigod that will cure the world's ills with a wave of his magic hands. And there's no way in hell that McCain is the better candidate.

What bothers me about that is not the quantity but the quality of the blues. A lot of the Dems MoveOn and ActBlue supported are pretty big disappointments. Chris Carney (D PA) is an example. So is McCaskill. They vote with the repubs way too often.

Red, blue, we're people and we all matter. If they are mislead Republicans and don't have a lot of common sense or are just ignorant, what we do is for their benefit, also.

I hope you checked out "Inner City Blues" the video to that is powerfull.
I particularly like this quote from the Charles Gibson thread:
88 Joe Max Says: Agreed. There’s nothing to stop me from one-upping him and the Dems by voting a straight (R) ticket. If we’re going to hell, let’s get it over with quickly.
Nothing stopping me from voting for Nader who in my heart I trust more. When in hell, at least I can say I did my part…I can’t believe this is really happening to us. You’re right, we should get it over quickly..whooppee we’re all gonna die.
Noam Chomsky has pointed out that, while there may be very little difference between the two parties, a lot of lives hang in the balance in that difference. Voting for what you perceive as the lesser of two evils is not very satisfying, but to abandon that responsibility to vote for the lesser of two evils is to turn your back on all those lives who hang in the balance.
Will Obama end the Iraq War sooner than McCain? Almost certainly. And every day means more lives saved. Therefore, helping McCain get elected, by not voting for Obama, means more people die.
Will Obama bring about more health coverage for Americans than McCain? Almost certainly. Which means people who might have died for lack of health care (especially early detection of treatable disease) might not die. Therefore, helping McCain get elected, by not voting for Obama, means more people die.
So before you make a stand and vote on your “principles”, be sure you understand what that choice means in real, human terms.
It was actually three different posters, the post i am refering to starts at
"Noam Chomsky has pointed out that, while there may be very little difference between the two parties, a lot of lives hang in the balance in that difference. Personally I'd like to know how any congressman or senator can justify handing out "get out of jail free" cards without once ever asking what crimes they're excusing. You'd think they'd at least ask for a briefing (not that you'd expect much honesty) before putting their reputation on the line.
I agree with that, Peter. They are all afraid the indictments are going to fall on them. I am not sure if the prosecutors would have time to even get to them.
I always wonder if the Nader people from 2000 think they're really better off having made their big statement. Somehow I think Gore probably would have been a tad better then Boosh...
Not voting and standing aside in November is a tacit approval of the policies of McCain. There is far too much at stake this time around. Between the SCOTUS, Iraq, Iran, the economy, the environment, civil rights, hell even segregation seems to be popping back up. Some years the difference between the candidates isn't all that much but I really believe the difference this year is incredibly wide.

oh the firecrackers are starting , it must close to the 4th of july ( na I refuse to be obvious ) , on a more serious note how many vets cringe when that sound is heard .

Nader didn't have anything to do with the Supreme Court appointment of Bush. There isn't a single state where Nader being on the ballot affected the outcome of that state. If you really want to scapegoat, blame Pat Buchanan who Floridians voted for by accident and he admits NO retired Palm Beach Jewish retirees would likely vote for him. Those votes were over the margin of error and the rest was the not-so-supremes.
Forgive me if I feel defensive about Nader, but I get tired of that same old line.

I was working in a very small shelter in Mass in July of 1975. It drove one man there into hallucinatory manic depression.

LOL! I voted for Nader in 2000, but i lived in Maryland. I could have voted for Bush and Gore would still have taken the State.
Gore didn't lose because of Nader. He lost because of the SCOTUS and Katherine Harris and a shitload of other neocons.
they made it seem like it was so terrible not to have the presidency figured out......like it was an embarassment or something.....i listened to scalia on charlie rose last night he really didn't want to talk about that vote.....these last 8 years to me have been nothing short of a nightmare seriously...obama might only be able to stop this madness....as far as fixing it that may take a couple generations

I wasn't making any kind of point about how Nader cost Gore Florida. There were enough other factors to make that fairly irrelevant.
My point is about the absurd logic that was constantly used to argue that somehow voting for Nader was some sort of important statement. It's very similar to the thinking that's begun sprouting up from those folks that think not voting at all is the solution to their perceived betrayal/failure/etc of Obama on FISA. It's as ridiculous then as it is now.

I don't think we've even seen the extent of the damage to the economy that the last eight years has caused. And yes, I know that Boosh can't be blamed for all of it but I think quite a bit gets to be laid at his feet. And the infrastructure in our country is abysmal and that hasn't been a priority for a very long time.
You know things are getting funky when the EPA starts invoking executive privilege.
Sorry, Smitty. I can't vote for Nader this year. I am in Nevada and it is going to be very close.
I don't expect anyone to vote for him in a close contest. Here in the peoples republic of CA I could vote for Thomas Jefferson & it won't change a damn thing. What I want to see come out of the Nader campaign is a viable 3rd party that starts from the grassroots. Here in LA that is possible. Now if we could only get Nader to agree. I'm mad at him for letting year after year since 2000 go by and not run for anything but pres every 4 years.
Thanks, mudshark @ 71 ... I did check out Inner City Blues ... and it is a powerful video, to be sure. I am old enough to remember the 60's (sigh) but the time has now come for a revolutionary change in American politics.

No Child Left Behind is one of the worst things that's been done to education in a long time. It had a great theory behind it but awful execution, not to mention a crushing ability to disenfranchise anyone that doesn't go to a great, top tier school.
I don't think you're a doomsday dude but here's another thing to help push you toward being one: H.CON.RES.362 It's only a sense of Congress resolution but I don't understand why anyone would want to give Bush any more future justification for acting a fool.

It's one of those sense of Congress resolutions, so it doesn't have any binding ability and doesn't establish any sort of law. So it's not like the sky is falling yet. 362 basically is a rah rah Iran is bad kind of thing but it's causing a stir because it contains funky suggestions about how Bush ought to sanction or blockade Iran. It sounds like a lot of saber rattling but I don't understand why anyone would give Bush some ammo if he decides Iran is next. Also it's been approved by I believe 170 something members of the House and quite a few Dems. Even though it's only a sense of Congress resolution, it shouldn't have so much momentum behind it from Dems.
But how can I a mere mortal impact the prices on the big board. I need my phone/cable/etc. etc….
You can cost them. You can choke off their cash flow. Pay your bill at the last possible moment. Take late fees to litigation. Book, Cancel, Book, Cancel until they chase their tails. You are the customer.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: JOHN McCAIN’S 3R ECONOMIC PLAN 2008
Abbreviated version
Progressive Candidate John McCain comes through for America with his 3R economic plan.
In the persona of Theodore Roosevelt, McCain’s plan just makes sense.
1. RETHINK: America must rethink the global views on what America is capable of in our current state of technology, engineering and the demands that face the world.
“RE-Think” the basic job goals involve the dwindling retirement, health care and social security plans that are failing Americans. With a strong base and a higher Gross Domestic Product (GDP) America has a new bargaining chip in the way we live and the ways we retire.
The framework is already in place through existing laws to make this happen. The Progressive attitude of John McCain to get things done by crossing party lines will resurrect America.
2. REFORM: America must rise to these demands and compete aggressively in a global economy. American people must demand higher quality products and less restricted trade routes for Made in USA components.
The USA will reform its dead manufacturing base to create the most innovative and green-engineered products possible. We will compete in a world market along with other high quality products. Once again, the world needs American success in these new ways of manufacturing.
3. REINVENT: America and Americans must reinvent themselves to reach and maintain these standards and by sheer American ingenuity, control the world’s marketplace in the competitive manner, as we have always been proud to be #1. Can you hear Theodore Roosevelt shouting this?
Americans are going back to a 3R-schooling program where they are paid to reinvent their skills and learn new skills to design and lead their personal LLC, Corporation or joint venture company. That’s easy enough to comprehend and just as easy to implement. The 3R plan is designed as a six-month rapid advancement system. Graduates may return for additional skill enhancements from time to time, or step up after new advanced training in executive management.
McCain’s 3R is about technical, closely monitored and rapid hands on training from pros to create new pros. Thousands of currently-job-displaced “once leaders in the manufacturing arena” will be asked to train and play instructor rolls in the 3R plan. Paid, of course, as these new leaders will help create a whole new style of prosperous America. A new guard for Social Security.
While manufacturing is a very important part of this plan, thousands of new businesses must to be created to meet the new surge of 3R manufacturing industries and prosperous Americans.
Initial estimates of 1 in 5 students will begin his or her own company and drive even more Americans into a viable lifestyle with real jobs, real benefits and a retirement to look forward to.
All of this can be done without costing taxpayers (or the government) additional funds. America has the means to follow through with John McCain’s 3R plan, ready and in place across the USA. The buildings we need sit vacant for the most part. By assuming leases on abandoned stores and factories across America with MC-3R schools and mini-manufacturing training centers, the USA made products can be sold and support the stores. Building owners write off the loss in taxes over a few years! This is the new place for financial speculators to invest!
Although the thousands of new businesses manufacturing USA Made products is exciting enough, the real excitement comes from the massive amount of additional jobs that will be created to provide the new housing, new buildings, new parks, shopping, grocery stores, schools, government outlets and so much more.
McCain’s Progressive nature embodies Theodore Roosevelt more than any US presidential candidate in history since the original Rough Rider blazed the greatest era of growth in America.
We need John McCain to lead our nation with the same type of change.
I keep forgetting that McCain is the progressive candidate. His amazingly progressive views on women's health and reproductive rights, nontraditional families, the separation of Church & State, and the value of habeas corpus (not to mention the actual definition of it) always get lost in the white noise of the media. Sometimes I just forget that McCain is the progressive champion of civil and human rights.
John McCain will be lucky if he isn't replaced before the Republican convention.
I bet he's one of those trolls that the McCain website has been recruiting. They get points for going to various progressive, liberal, and left leaning websites and posting various McCain propaganda. I'm not sure what their points get them. Maybe they get fun prizes like John McCain Underoos.
realist @ 117 ,
No way that could happen , and what was the date of the Golan heights take over , ah ? , was that not the same day that the USS Libertry was attacked . Hell what does it matter McCain killed 167 US Navy personel on the USS Forrestal , had he not been shot down he would of single handed lost the war ( roll over mccain ) what % of voters want this as CiC , scary if it is more than 1 %.

Snore. I don't believe any Republican. They are a den of thieves that work in unison. Remember how the Iraq war was, economically, a win-win situation (with flower petals, to boot)??? Do you? Is it? You believe them?
And, I can't listen to McSame for four years. 8 years of Bush has given me a mental condition (nearly).

At one time, even the Italians were regarded and hit with every stereotype in the book. Al Capone and Joe Torrio did their very best to stick the entire Italian/American community with that stereotype as best as they were able and it still sticks to this day.
I/we may not get to live to see the day when Arabs as a people can also laugh this current nightmare off and be ultimately comfortable with all of the horrible stereotypes -- but I wish that we could!
As a social libertarian I strongly urge you to appeal to your true ally in the fight against the shredding of the constitution: The Ron Paul supporters. Its a win/win for all of us and Obama why not Ron Paul? If Obama successfully leads a charge to kill this bill and goes out and says "I didn't do this for any one party or administration I did this for every party and for every American. I did this for not just for democrats, not just for republicans, but for libertarians too. Because We and Ron Paul and his supporters have the same nightmares. Where the government has the right to spy on you and corporations have the right to exploit you, where the right to due process under the Constitution of the United States of America is somehow debatable."......sorry I get a little carried away pretending I hear his voice when I write.
In the end I don't think that anyone could argue that Obama isn't ready for the oval office if he is already dictating national policy. And I can't think of anything that would make McCain look more impotent. If he IS going to be a agent for change he needs to address the concerns of Ron Paul supporters. If Lieberman is speaking at the RNC. Ron Paul speaking at the DNC would be a epic. Don't forget Ron Paul was getting good numbers even after McCain was presumed. Anyway this campaign is getting stale and that is the worst thing in the world for Obama. He needs to make some positive waves and getting Ron Paul to commend him on his killing of the FISA bill would focus the media back on the little people instead of on big media. Ron Paul is O's republican counter point. He needs to recognize this and appeal to them for support and guidance.
I think that is an excellent idea. Ron Paul talking about saving the constitution at the democrats' convention would help all concerned both the democrats and Ron Paul supporters.
Make no mistake: the man who admits he looks like Urkel is sounding about as post-racial as the Rev. Al Sharpton. Or about as post-racial as someone who spent the last 20 years under the spiritual tutelage of the race-baiting Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Fr. Michael Pfleger. Someone with that background ought to have some humility when it comes to dealing the race card, but he has chosen it as his opening gambit.
This is just pathetic . . . . Most people couldn't care less about your name and your color, Senator Obama. They fear being led by you because you have no substantive legislative record, you're a chronic liar and, after explicitly stating that you choose your friends carefully, you have repeatedly and systematically made friends with people who hate this country.
You would "bridge the divide," Senator, by burning that bridge.

Edging Away From Air Force, Army Adds Air Unit By THOM SHANKER
As the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have frayed the relationship between Army and Air Force, the Army has organized its own surveillance unit.
with all that money flying around, the greed is so hard to contain.
You've got to be taught to hate and fear
You've got to be taught from year to year

I never could get into musicals (same with most rap), but good lyrics often exist where musical stylings keep me from hearing them.
"But there is another, very different side to John McCain. Away from the headlines and the stirring speeches, a less familiar figure lurks. It is a McCain who plans to fight on in Iraq for years to come and who might launch military action against Iran. This is the McCain whose campaign and career has been riddled with lobbyists and special interests. It is a McCain who has sided with religious and political extremists who believe Islam is evil and gays are immoral. It is a McCain who wants to appoint extreme conservatives to the Supreme Court and see abortion banned."

Actually, Ron so can you. That is the purpose of allowing everybody in so that if you have an idea you can impliment it. :)
Tequila @ 4:
Maybe Bush could let the Dems know what went on and who was involved in the secret energy policy meetings that Cheney held so they can have a way to really address the issue.
Tequila i would give you an entire page of your own to post stories on.

I am listening, then again i am not a Neo Con. :)
I had a good friend from Iran in the 1970's but i moved.
He refered to himself as being Persian which is quite accurate.

Do they have oil? I mean the pigeons, eagles, ospreys and hawks. That's all that the neocons care about. They want to control it all. Not trying to be a smart ass but, that's all they care about.

What exactly?

That is part of it Peter. We have to push from several different directions.
We need to let elected officials know that if they do not support a repeal that they will be opposed for reelection. Right now it looks like it is going to pass in two days. We have to get started now to repeal it after the election when we have a new government.

yeah, there are times that ya wonder.
Yes it does take time, lets get moving!

too many typos.

That will just be the beginning. We have to make sure this never happens again.
If we get a majority and the majority is (unlike this majority) not beholding to lobbyists and special interests (don't hold your breath).
Do you really think the next Congress which is going to be made up almost entirely of incumbants is going to do things radically different?
Ron @ 54:
x, we'll be fighting this kinda thing for the rest of our lives.
it's nice to see some of the youth paying attention. cause they have to deal with the new batch of repugs coming.
and they ain't that far away.
mudshark has a good point.
Typos are fine. They help me free associate.
xoites defends Constitution @ 55:
I'm hoping we get a VAST majority. And it looks like we just might.

Roark77 - No POTUS = No SCOTUS @ 57:
Almost a quote from my comments yesterday.
Ron @ 62:
I like to remind people that November is about voting for the better candidate. Not some sort of mighty demigod that will cure the world's ills with a wave of his magic hands. And there's no way in hell that McCain is the better candidate.
Roark77 - No POTUS = No SCOTUS @ 63:
What bothers me about that is not the quantity but the quality of the blues. A lot of the Dems MoveOn and ActBlue supported are pretty big disappointments. Chris Carney (D PA) is an example. So is McCaskill. They vote with the repubs way too often.
Roark77 - No POTUS = No SCOTUS @ 63:
Red, blue, we're people and we all matter. If they are mislead Republicans and don't have a lot of common sense or are just ignorant, what we do is for their benefit, also.
KARL! I want you in particular to get involved with our site. Are you willing to help us out?
calgarylady @ 65:
So before you make a stand and vote on your “principles”, be sure you understand what that choice means in real, human terms.
xoites defends Constitution @ 70:
sure but you'll have to keep it simple...personally i am curious to see what the senate does....i can guess

I am not sure if the prosecutors would have time to even get to them.
xoites defends Constitution @ 72:
I always wonder if the Nader people from 2000 think they're really better off having made their big statement. Somehow I think Gore probably would have been a tad better then Boosh...
Not voting and standing aside in November is a tacit approval of the policies of McCain. There is far too much at stake this time around. Between the SCOTUS, Iraq, Iran, the economy, the environment, civil rights, hell even segregation seems to be popping back up. Some years the difference between the candidates isn't all that much but I really believe the difference this year is incredibly wide.
Roark77 - No POTUS = No SCOTUS @ 78:
Let's not that be mistaken for a wide stance.
If if Obama disapoints McCain sure won't. He is all we think he is and worse.

I won't be voting for Nader this Year.
Nice work on the new site X... I'll have to give it a full perusal tomorrow...
Thank you. :)
Thank Smitty too. :)
oh the firecrackers are starting , it must close to the 4th of july ( na I refuse to be obvious ) , on a more serious note how many vets cringe when that sound is heard .
Roark77 - No POTUS = No SCOTUS @ 78:
Nader didn't have anything to do with the Supreme Court appointment of Bush. There isn't a single state where Nader being on the ballot affected the outcome of that state. If you really want to scapegoat, blame Pat Buchanan who Floridians voted for by accident and he admits NO retired Palm Beach Jewish retirees would likely vote for him. Those votes were over the margin of error and the rest was the not-so-supremes.
Forgive me if I feel defensive about Nader, but I get tired of that same old line.
xoites defends Constitution @ 83:
Gore didn't lose because of Nader. He lost because of the SCOTUS and Katherine Harris and a shitload of other neocons.
Yeah, thanks Smitty... Everybody enjoying their coookies... I'm having trouble getting my C4 to fold in right...

I was working in a very small shelter in Mass in July of 1975. It drove one man there into hallucinatory manic depression.
Sorry, Smitty. I can't vote for Nader this year. I am in Nevada and it is going to be very close.
Ron @ 89:
they made it seem like it was so terrible not to have the presidency figured out......like it was an embarassment or something.....i listened to scalia on charlie rose last night he really didn't want to talk about that vote.....these last 8 years to me have been nothing short of a nightmare seriously...obama might only be able to stop this madness....as far as fixing it that may take a couple generations
Smitty @ 88:
I wasn't making any kind of point about how Nader cost Gore Florida. There were enough other factors to make that fairly irrelevant.
My point is about the absurd logic that was constantly used to argue that somehow voting for Nader was some sort of important statement. It's very similar to the thinking that's begun sprouting up from those folks that think not voting at all is the solution to their perceived betrayal/failure/etc of Obama on FISA. It's as ridiculous then as it is now.
And effort.
karl @ 93:
The only thing I can do is agree 100%. I won't be around when the damaged is repaired. I hope you are young enough to experience it.
Ron @ 96:
karl @ 93:
I don't think we've even seen the extent of the damage to the economy that the last eight years has caused. And yes, I know that Boosh can't be blamed for all of it but I think quite a bit gets to be laid at his feet. And the infrastructure in our country is abysmal and that hasn't been a priority for a very long time.
You know things are getting funky when the EPA starts invoking executive privilege.
xoites defends Constitution @ 92:
I don't expect anyone to vote for him in a close contest. Here in the peoples republic of CA I could vote for Thomas Jefferson & it won't change a damn thing. What I want to see come out of the Nader campaign is a viable 3rd party that starts from the grassroots. Here in LA that is possible. Now if we could only get Nader to agree. I'm mad at him for letting year after year since 2000 go by and not run for anything but pres every 4 years.
Fuck that Ron... I"ll keep your head in a cooler or something...
This conversation says to me, Down with the electoral college...

JLMEALER @ 122:
I keep forgetting that McCain is the progressive candidate. His amazingly progressive views on women's health and reproductive rights, nontraditional families, the separation of Church & State, and the value of habeas corpus (not to mention the actual definition of it) always get lost in the white noise of the media. Sometimes I just forget that McCain is the progressive champion of civil and human rights.
Thanks for the reminder.

John McCain will be lucky if he isn't replaced before the Republican convention.
iraqhusseinconcilable @ 124:
I bet he's one of those trolls that the McCain website has been recruiting. They get points for going to various progressive, liberal, and left leaning websites and posting various McCain propaganda. I'm not sure what their points get them. Maybe they get fun prizes like John McCain Underoos.

"Mr friends, today we carpet bombed Iran with flesh-searing phosphorous bombs... "
there is big money for demonizing these people.
wars make big money for the few
in a dumb downed capitalistic society like america this is possible
the war on terror makes big money for the war mongers
wait till you see what bush jr and cheney make next year
take a look at what tony blair has made since leaving office
if you think a 600 billion dollar military budget is for defense think again
only dumb downed americans could believe that fanasty
please note neither pres candidate is reducing that budget
most americans are imperialists and dont have a clue they are
the rest of the world knows
and oh how they enjoy watching us self destuct
we humans always enjoy watching a bully get beaten
iraq like vietnam will bleed us a slow bleed in lives and treasure
americans will blame others like their politicans but not themselves for their problems
there lies the problem
someone jihaded the comedy in that skit. yikes.
Not reading the comments -- just an addled observation here..
He needs to recognize this and appeal to them for support and guidance.
cheers.

I think that is an excellent idea. Ron Paul talking about saving the constitution at the democrats' convention would help all concerned both the democrats and Ron Paul supporters.
F YOU DON'T VOTE FOR OBAMA, YOU'RE A RACIST. "OBAMA DROPS PRE-EMPTIVE RACE BOMB."
But how well is it working? Not everyone's buying it:
Make no mistake: the man who admits he looks like Urkel is sounding about as post-racial as the Rev. Al Sharpton. Or about as post-racial as someone who spent the last 20 years under the spiritual tutelage of the race-baiting Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Fr. Michael Pfleger. Someone with that background ought to have some humility when it comes to dealing the race card, but he has chosen it as his opening gambit.
Humility isn't his strong suit.
UPDATE: Juliette Ochieng comments:
This is just pathetic . . . . Most people couldn't care less about your name and your color, Senator Obama. They fear being led by you because you have no substantive legislative record, you're a chronic liar and, after explicitly stating that you choose your friends carefully, you have repeatedly and systematically made friends with people who hate this country.
You would "bridge the divide," Senator, by burning that bridge.
Ouch.
