C&L Site Update

We're getting closer to going live with our new site. The test server is ready so we can finally start practicing. I'll slowly add some new web pages on as we go along too like a dedicated page for the LNMC and more videos for your viewing pleasure at the 'Video Cafe,' along with Murray Waas' blog. He's got a new piece called:

"President Bush asserts executive privilege rather than turn over Cheney's FBI interview regarding Valerie Plame."

It will probably have a few bumps along the way as the servers get used to the new software platform, but that's standard fare. And we'll be adding some very cool bells and whistles like diaries and polls after we make sure everything is stable. Thanks to all our readers that donated to help make this happen. People power, baby....

Sooo... what he is trying to do is to prevent the outing of their covering of the outing of a covert agent?

This takes "it's OK if you are a Republican to a whole new level."

Restoring dignity to the white house indeed motherfuckers....

I like the C&L site. I hope it doesn't get to large or out of hand. I notice FireDog keeps adding things, layers and layers, and seems to be moving to more of a portal format, trying to be all things to all people. Don't get me wrong.... improvements are great but it should be simple enough that even McSame could navigate it........

so is the site getting a redesign? i really dig the format that thinkprogress.org has but at the same time i really like your very simple approach as well...hopefully the new site falls in the middle...if not ill still be visiting!

Considering that the last couple of websites' "upgrades" over the last week or so left a lot to be desired...I shudder to think what kind of tinkering has been done here. As much as I regret saying this...if it ain't broke, don't fix it..!

I was seriously disappointed that I wasn't able to help this year as I did last year but with things being so very slow at work, I didn't get a bonus this year. Sorry John. Hopefully, construction will pick up and I will still be able to help out with things this year.

This site is one of my favs.

This is a great site as it is, John, I can't imagine what you could do to make it any better.
Things load pretty fast right now, there's a good archive, it's easily navigated, good place for video clips, and it makes me inclined to refer the site to my friends to get the real poop. I like things simple.
If people have to upgrade their browsers every six months just to access a site it takes the fun out of it. (I've long avoided firedoglake, it used to crash my browser). So I hope the changes don't mess things up and do what you want them to do.
Keep up the good work.
