The media was extra busy trying to slam Obama this week.

Wal Mart is the real American Manchurian Candidate, working for the Chinese while being run by Americans. The only ones Wal Mart helps is themselves. Low prices now and economic disaster forever after

The losses for the financial system from people walking away from their mortgages could be of the order of one trillion dollars when the entire capital of the US banking system is only $1.3 trillion.

Jonathon Hoenig thinks that the oil companies earned these excess profits.

Yes, and our currency is super-saturated in debt. The house of cards is collapsing. And we're going to watch it all go down. And the Federal Reserve Bank is doing its best to ENSURE our economy implodes.

Welcome to hell.

Here's How the "Millionaire's Market" Paid Me to Retire
From My 9 - 5 Office Job at 32 Years Old. . .

No more ironing shirts and tying ties at 6:15 in the morning... no more sitting in rush hour... and no more waiting around at 5 p.m. on Friday to pick up my weekly check...

The Millionaire's Market changed ALL of that. Now I'm my own boss.

I'm able to go hit golf balls on a sunny Friday afternoon. I'm able to spend entire weekdays with my young daughter. And I'm able to travel whenever and wherever I want. After all, isn't that what life is REALLY about?

I'm finally free from the shackles of "normal" work. You could be, too. I'll show you how in just a moment.

And if you're already retired, the "guest pass" could help you live more comfortably, too.

Since 1989, I estimate that I've made more than $100,000 year after year in this secret market... In fact, I use it whenever I need some extra cash for my wife, my young daughter or me.

Today, I'd like to show you how you could do the same thing...

Obama shifts on offshore oil drilling

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080802/ap_on_el_pr/obama;_ylt=AvR_cbFWaE1X7...

Well, what do we expect? McInsane and Obama are both CFR members. Exxon/Mobil, Shell Oil, Halliburton, Chevron, Hess, and BP are all members.

Who runs this planet again?

NOW on pbs did a good documentary on the veco and senator t. stevens. looks like his son was involved also.
side note i guess the people of alaska receive some type of payment per year for the oil interesting...i'm guessing this episode will be online

ABC news behind anthrax attacks?

No but they know more than anyone else about who really did it and why it took so long to solve.

Or did they?

Read Glen Greenwalds article on it. It is amazing and the MSM is not covering it properly.

"Obama shifts on offshore oil drilling"

When I post the link, the post disappears. It's on Yahoo under news.

What do we expect? McInsane and Obama are both CFR members. Some of the corporate members include Exxon/Mobil, Shell Oil, BP, Halliburton, Hess, and Chevron. All companies that will benefit greatly from drilling.

Gee, who runs this country again? Well, it isn't us.

curtilingus @ 17:

Thats because the MSM are employees of people who comprise the super-rich that fly around the globe in private jets and are driven around in limousines, live in enormous well guarded homes costing tens of millions of dollars, and vacation on their yachts and private islands. They are members of the ruling plutocracy.

Control of the U.S. long ago was turned over to the bankers and the financiers of the Western world. It was called financial “deregulation,” accelerated under President Ronald Reagan, and has run amok since then. From a longer historical view, it’s the same phenomenon that first created and then ruined the British Empire , and it’s what created and is now ruining the American Empire today.

They also were instructed to take Cipro a week before the attacks occurred, along with some government employees. I guess Daschle's office opened the anthrax before they opened the free Cipro sample from Don Rumsfeld's company. Oh, I better stop...

I read in Greenwalds article the only way they would continue this investigation is if there are other suspects. I cannot believe all the questions were answered by his "apparent" suicide.

I'm looking for great examples of why Obama wouldn't attend McCains offer of "10 Town Halls".

I'd like to use reasons other than "McCain would look foolish" kind of stuff.

But that's OK too!

No kidding. Can you smell the same fish I smell?

Pretty convenient. And on NBC Nightly Lies and Propaganda with Brian Williams tonight, they pretty much condemned the guy to death anyway. Accused, tried, convicted, sentenced and executed in the kangaroo court of false perception management.

Yes, because many will be killed (going to heaven), and the rest will be under the thumb of some global elite (council of elders).

"Beloved Ones, we hope that you understand now why you are being drawn into Soul Families and Groups, so that you can begin to work together co-operatively, to manifest the next phase of Earth's transformation into the New Earth."

The ones who survive will be rounded up and put into forced labor camps.

If anyone that thinks Obama won't rule in the debates, think about Obama just asking McCain about something he said 24 hours prior to the debate. McCain won't remember.

Why do I feel like this story reflects the zeitgeist of this decade better than anything? [Well, besides idiots like Ledger, who get lucky, and then waste their potential while everyone else has to do everything the hard way...] Anyway, it's funny how back in the 60s, it was the 20-somethings who were viewed as out-of-control, and now it's the 40 and 50-somethings. Though since many of those same
adults were ex-hippies, I guess it makes sense, since they never really grew up. It's kind of like that brother in the "Hair" movie who neglects his family out of some fake spiritual values, except now we're getting screwed on the basis of "every man for himself". Same bull, except less sugar-coating.

New Earth? Like Lord of the Rings?

Yes, McGramps is ready for the retirement home. Especially with that freakish smile on his face.

Well, look on the bright side. Maybe McInsane will be selected by Diebold and die of cancer. Then we'll rejoice. For in his stead there will emerge a great man (in his own mind) to take the reigns of power (puppet) and bless us with his eminence, the Mormon Prince of Darkness, Mitt Romney.

Now that I think about it, you can say what you want about Michael Jackson, but he's spot on about how we, as a society, have failed our children.

McCain wants to treat US cities like occupied Iraq.

It was only a matter of time before Republicans, not content to simply terrorize, imprison or kill brown people in foreign countries, decided to use the same tactics in American cities.

I know I can't wait until the 12 foot concrete barriers go up and thousands of heavily armed police invade my neighborhood, setting up checkpoints, kicking down doors, and detaining citizens without evidence or trial.

McCain makes Bush look sane, honest and compassionate. He's fucking scary.

With debates coming up, why should he? You think that he should give McCain access to his audience? If you look at the audience that McCain is attracting, it looks like there might be a couple hundred or so.

Saad...Yes, but even though it's true, there is always hope. THEY want you to feel helpless. So never be afraid of them. Never fear death or their false God or their power. That is what THEY want from you. To bow down at THEIR feet and worship the resources they posses.

"The Round Table Group in the US promptly created an external organization known as the CFR, the Council of Foreign Relations. It is through this organizational ring, and then outward, through tax-exempt foundations, universities and government agencies, that the international Capitalist Conspiracy has dominated the domestic and foreign policy of the US for over 50 years."

- G. Edward Griffin

"The semi-secret CFR has over 1400 elite personalities. In Harper's Magazine (July 1958) CFR member Joseph Kraft disclosed that one of the chief architects of the organization was Colonel Mandell House. Kraft boasted that members included the President, the Secretary of State, the Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission, the Director of the CIA, the board chairman of three of the country's five industrial corporations, two of the four richest insurance companies, and two of the three biggest banks, plus the senior partners of the three leading Wall Street law firms, the publishers of the two biggest news magazines, and of the country's most influential newspaper, and the presidents of the Big Three in both universities and foundations, as well as a score of other college presidents and scattering of top scientists and journalists."

The guy that the FBI is trying to blame for the letters doesn't match the psych profile.

The nearest other case to this that I can think of is the Unabomber and he was clearly smart and nuts.

The guy was so anti-social that he moved to a cabin in Montana.

The accused in this case had a wife two children, lived in a suberban area worked with the red cross I know the BTK could be described in much the same manor but many of his nieghbors hated a/o feared him where as all of the accused neighbors liked him he just doesn't sound like a serial killer.

Charles: Our leaders are a reflection of us. Broken levees and bridges and deadly cat food are not the result of a few bad apples, but selfish Americans who really hate sharing their wealth[And not just the top 1%.], and who are only now paying for it with the housing and stock crises. I read a pro-Obama op-ed article in the Jewish Journal from a guy who'd normally consider himself a hawk, or at least a non-negotiator. In it, he described Bush as a "negligent father"; and I think it's probably a more appropriate label for the constituency. The apathetic voters are partly to blame, but they still assumed that the people on watch would at least think straight enough not to sink the ship. So now the rest of us are forced to assume a similar role to the officers on COPS, because the country's been turned into the equivalent of a physically-abused crack-baby left in a car-with closed windows-for an hour.

Uncle Joe: Believe me, the proliferation of fast food and other "franchises" is what's killing, not fueling, job growth in L.A.

I feel like Bush looking for WMD at a fundraiser.

My frustrations are mounting also. We can't quit.

I feel like Bush looking for WMD at a fundraiser.

Because I had them pegged since 2002 for a fixed race in 08 between Hillary and Rudy. They couldn't exactly let my prediction be correct, now could they? Then we'd all know it was a sham! But McCain... nobody would have EVER guessed McCain!

Damnit.

Fine then, you want to call me ignorant, and a troll, that's your opinion.

I'm not a troll. I may be ignorant, but I still look for good reasoning. I'm not talking about present day acceptance by Obama for town hall meetings... I'm looking for why he felt it necessary to never accept the offer for town hall meetings.

Some great reasons like: The town hall meetings were all in a republican state. Or the town hall meetings were sponsored by republican lobbyists.

IMO I don't want Obama to debate McCain in a town hall meeting. I think that would draw a croud that would overpower McCain, but the 'librul' media is going to sensor it. They're going to make it look like all those so many Obama supporters are actually, (for some reason) for McCain. While the crowd chants Obama, and Fox mutes the audio to add thier own commentary.

Saad....I've read them all. All 13.

You know, I think Obama might know something about these town hall debates that we don't. Maybe he knows for sure that they're gonna be rigged, packed with pre-selected bush suckers, etc.

Afterall, I criticized Obama for backtracking on the campaign funding agreement, but that was before I learned that McCain had already broken that agreement. If Obama knows that McCain is not going to play fair, then there's one possible explanation.

If that were the case, it would be no different than refusing to go on Fox News.

Saad...Correction. I didn't know there was an 8th book in the original series. "Sandworms." Well, I guess I've have some reading to do. And it looks like the 15th is coming in September.

AceGently...There really isn't a good reason. And I think Obama would shred McOldtimingman, but it doesn't matter. It's fixed. It's all bull shit. Just a facade to keep us distracted.

Obama is now changing his CRF mind about drilling off shore. The guy voted for FISA. Does anyone think this guy is going to help us?

That is exactly my point. There had to be a reason that Barack would not agree to those debates.

He had to have some idea what he would be getting into. What was he thinking is what I would like to know.

Miss Cleo? Haven't heard that name for quite some time. Hahahaha!

GNA!

Saad...Yes, I don't have my second original set either. I loved the quotes they (Frank, Brian & KJ Anderson) have in the front of the chapters. Brilliant.

Both the set of three prequels are excellent. I really enjoyed them. And the seventh book in the original series "Hunters," was pretty good. I'll definitely pick up the last one.

Cause he knows he'll get sandbagged. Force them to wait, Give McCain time to "flip and flop" all over the place then call him on it on National TV during the debates.
These town hall meetings are nothing more than a trap. That McCain can spring on Obama. I'm glad he's smart enough to avoid them, but I wish he would get a bit more stable. I'm very disappoited in Obama right now . Drilling offshore was something he didn't really need to say. Alternative energy would have been a better message to pound home.

the series is a must have for any sci-fi reader, along with the Dragonriders saga by Anne McCaffrey

Saad...I've read the first set of three, but it was a really long time ago. Like in the early 80's.

you should really read them again, I highly recommend

Maybe. I'm reading "Angels and Demons" right now and I also just started "The Scottish Chiefs."

Now that I think about it, you can say what you want about Michael Jackson, but he's spot on about how we, as a society, have failed our children.

"We, as a society, have failed our children?"

I don't think so. THEY, as our leaders, failed all of us. There is a war on the middle class. And THEY are winning. WE are losing. They're leaving ALL the children behind.

But according to the very serious "journalist" Medved it is GTA 4 and not the war on the middle class that's ruining the middle class [snark off].

Hey all!

Since they are making a big deal out of Obama being too skinny, I think that, as a woman who is 38DD-35-38 (that's for Double Democrat!), I should run against McCain. I already know that I know much more than he does...so does my dog for that matter, but that's a different story.

So, what do you think? Let's hear it! DD for President!

Sorry, that was the single dumbest thing I have ever heard...I just had to throw my two cents out (even if it's from a different thread). How friggin' desperately stupid are these people? That and "The One" which was, to me, laughable beyond words.

Can you hear it? That is the sound of the Republican brand completely imploding!

Can I get an AMEN! And a hallelujah, while we're at it.

BTW, have you seen a List of Obama's Senate Accomplishments? Bookmark it and share. Empty suit MY ASS!

Jesse Jackson is a total idiot for inflaming black voters against Obama. Couldn't he have waited until January '09 to voice his BS?

Now Obama's running into problems among the black community thanks to that idiot Jackson. Why do some people trust him over Obama anyway?

So we have choices:
A: Failed Children
B: Failed Children; Know Micheal Jackson
C: Children Fail?
D: Insane Stunt INSANE

AceGently @ 124:

I seem to remember early on that Jackson wasn't too keen on Obama. I don't remember Sharpton being all there either.

CRAP! Quoted the wrong thing. Sorry!

Oh, for an edit button!!

all this time i kept thinking we were talking about michael jackson.lol

You can talk about him, but he means nothing to this campaign.

I got Thriller on tape, in my hand.....

Thx for the info!

During a hearing this past Wednesday of the House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Intelligence, Information Sharing & Terrorism Risk Assessment, Rep. Pascrell expressed strong disagreement with Rep. Peter King's (R-NY) remarks that Muslims are not doing enough to help law enforcement fight terrorism.

“America must view the Muslim community as a great asset to our homeland security effort and take real steps to engage them. We cannot risk becoming like Europe where Muslim citizens have been pushed to the margins of society and are looked at as objects of suspicion,” said Pascrell after the hearing.

Congressman Pascrell also took the opportunity at the hearing to rebut King’s criticism of a planned advertising campaign in New York subway cars designed to educate the public about Islam. The ads will be placed in the subway cars in September during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

Congressman Pascrell responded to the controversy by stating: “I am deeply disappointed in any public official or media outlet that would use harsh rhetoric against this ad campaign which simply seeks to answer people’s questions about Islam. This is exactly the kind of dialog we need. Instead of making people fear one another, we should bridge the gaps in our collective knowledge. As it says in the ad, whether it comes to questions about Islam or questions about our communal homeland security strategy – ‘you deserve to know.’

FBI Director Robert S. Mueller, stated before the U.S. House Judiciary Committee: "And every opportunity I have, I re-affirm the fact that 99.9 percent of Muslim-Americans or Sikh-Americans, Arab-Americans are every bit as patriotic as anybody else in this room, and that many of our cases are a result of the cooperation from the Muslim community in the United States." (April 23, 2008).

The New York Post, as usual, offered some vile propaganda and lies.

I'm a Firefox person, myself, but I am thinking of buying a tiny little Linux machine to travel with. No docs on it or anything to worry about being confiscated by the border fascists.

The reason Obama said no is because McCain planned on inviting groups of his supporters, which would give him an unfair advantage.

It would be nice if they could keep their own computers. Maybe that's why they want ours.

I wonder how that will impact international business travelers coming here. Knowing that corporate data (secrets) could become US property might have a chilling effect on business. And our economy is so robust now, we need to make sure to curtail any business efforts by other countries - you know, the ones who still have money.

AceGently @ 144:

I honestly don't know why a lot of people are upset over this. Do the current laws specify whether TSA agents can do this or is it limited to Customs agents? I would trust Customs over TSA any day of the week.

In my criminal justice class way back in the late 90s we were told that the minute a person enters an international border crossing their right to privacy and search and seizure (4th amendment) go out the window. Your personal belongings become fair game for a lack of a better term and border officials don't have to establish probable cause at any point in time to search anyone.

Well, while you're waiting for Dollhouse, check out "Mr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog" - a Whedon musical that works(!)

Litigation had to occur for it to happen, but potato chip companies won't be adding a ton of carcinogens to their products anymore.

You have to be joking?

Honestly? You don't see an issue with someone copying everything on your computer and slicing and dicing it forever?

I have a HUGE problem with it. HUGE!
