Sanitized Coverage?
By Steve Hynd Sunday Aug 31, 2008 9:00pmQ: What do rightwing blogger John Hawkins and MSNBC's Keith Olbermann have in common?
A: Both have been bumped from covering the Republican convention.
Hawkins didn't get his application for media credentials approved, he says because of critical posts he has written which irritated the McCain campaign, particularly on immigration. AP reports that Olbermann has been re-assigned.
Keith Olbermann was pulled from St. Paul to anchor MSNBC's storm coverage from New York, with his seat beside Chris Matthews filled by David Gregory. Capus said political considerations had nothing to do with that move; Olbermann has been sharply critical of the GOP.
You believe that, right? Sounds to me like the McCain campaign only wants McFournier types in attendance.
Noel Sheppard at the rightwing News Busters site is oh-so disappointed about Olbermann's absence. So just to cheer him up here's some classic Keith from January -

Republicans are very very anal about their propaganda. Everything has to be perfecto! voilà!
amy goodman was arrested at the rnc today
nobody pulled hannity or the rest of the wingnuts credentials for the dnc...and hannity spent the entire 4 days mocking the entire convention
what liberal press
who cares...i just hope that sarah makes alot of appearances.... im very horny and need some political porn
Gosh why would the RNC not want Olbermann there?
It's not like he's covered their never ending series of fuck ups with glee.
Mittens got the second most number of votes, he was entitled to the VP slot!!
David Gregory is insufferable. I can't stand to look at his face. There is something wrong with it.
I think Olbermann was removed because MSNBC was afraid he was eventually going to deck Matthews onair!
Yeah, I saw a bit of Keith tonight and thought it was odd he was only covering the hurricane.....he didn't look real happy.
Anyone see Larry King tonight? I just heard about 10 minutes of him when I was travelling in my car. James Carville was on along with another Dem, facing off with Michelle Bachmann and I believe Amanda Carpenter from Townhall.com.
Man, Carville really tore Bachmann and Carpenter apart over Palin. Larry King was asking about the Bristol baby thing....Carville gave him a brief answer....and then went into Palin's qualifications.....just got her passport last year; been out of the country once;she voted for Pat Buchanan for Pres; he apparently showed or talked about city hall in Wasilla, or wherever she was major of, and said that it looked like some drug store in Louisiana; and in response to Bachmann saying that Palin sold a government plane on email (as evidence of her executive power), Carville asked, "and selling an airplane on Ebay makes you qualified for VP?" It was funny....have to watch it again....sure there will be a rerun later on CNN, or maybe C&L can find it and put it up.
Larry King asked Bachmann twice if Palin was the "most qualified" candidate for the job. Bachmann couldn't answer....first she said something to the effect that John McCain picked her, blah, blah, blah....and when asked a second time, she said that Palin "Is qualified." Bachmann is such a stupid repug....just cannot stand her.
I still don't really know what to make of this all. I just cannot believe what I've been hearing. Either these Repug defenders are so incredibly stupid and ignorant, or they are just making something up in order to avoid saying that Palin is not qualified. In either case, I feel sorry for them.
Chuck Norris got kicked in the head one too many times.
Is that gregory of the rap group Karls Rove?
Will C&L cover police repression of Amy Goodman and Democracy Now
http://www.democracynow.org/
Hey, Site Monitor...where is the story??
Amy Goodman arrested by riot police at the RNC.
Police Brutality at the RNC against protesters.
Amy Goodman arrested
love the line... 'they are a long way from selecting a nominee, more so than the Democrats'
Damn! I was hoping Olbermann would be present to discuss the unlawful arrests being carried out right now at the convention. I was hoping he would have Amy Goodman on, who was arrested today (for "conspiracy to commit a riot") for asking police why they were unlawfully arresting other people (including her producers).
MsJoanne @ 11:
They cuffed debbie downer?
I feel sorry for her cellmate.
Someguy @ 15:
Who the fuck is debbie downer?
The hurricane is over! Is he going back? This is how Bush Co. controlled things. Is this a bigger picture message to KO that he is in trouble with MSNBC? If so when does the march on freedom of speech begin?
Uncle Joe Mccarthy @ 2:
LOL!!! I think McCain thought the same thing. He knows he's going to lose and he might as well go out with Caribou Barbie (along w/ his Vicodine Barbie).
Remember Gregory defending the MSM on supporting the Iraqi invasion.....here is his reward.
I would guess the RNC thinks there isn't much Barney Rubble...uh, I mean David Gregory...can do to make the GOP look bad.
working class @ 10:
and to think there are people that don't want chnage. the country is NO longer ours. it belongs to corporations,k-street,wall street and the government. this is outrageous.
Have I mentioned how much I hate Gregory lately?
the McCain campaign is now saying that Sarah Palin is "Commander in Chief" of the Alaska National Guard that is fighting in Iraq. General Palin to the rescue!!!
mooseburgers for the the warriors, of course.
you guys are gonna have to watch this convention for me... no olbermann and no amy goodman makes for a very bad time indeed... democracy now, daily show and crooks were my sources for the dem convention, which was painful enough... i like a good trainwrech as much as the next guy but this is getting too sad to watch...
He should join the Daily Show coverage instead!
PS: I'd pay to see KO bitchslap Tweety on-air!
Now what was that about liberal media??? The corporate money guys are pulling the strings again and trying to filter what the American people hear and see. Dumbing down of America is Alive and Well.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rni6G7RRFkk
check this ABCNNEWS youtube of GOP guys partying in the twin cities over the week-end with lobbyist friends.
some shock and lols in this one
what are they gonna do next? arrest jon stewart?
actually, that would be great in a martyr sense...
David Gregory should wear ELEPHANT EARS every time he appears on TV. He's an unapologetic cheerleader for the GOP and the McCain campaign.
The BEST Olbermann moment last week was when The SCAR was pontificating on an un-probable re-surgeance of the Republican party... and finally he took a breath, and the shot went to Keith, and Keith said, "Are you DONE!" It was hilarious... and it left Scarbourough SPEECHLESS. Joe SCAR is a pompass ASS... and Keith sliced him like he was soft butter.
... and I just saw my first Rachel Maddow Show promo on MSNBC. YEA!
I've been noticing something for a long time, but it just hit me tonight as I went to that NewsBuster site to see what that JO had to say about KO.
Do you ever notice that on many right wing web sites, as tonight on NewsBusters, there are often T-shirt ads featuring young, attractive, sexy women wearing those tight t-shirts. Those t-shirts very often have right wing slogans on them attacking liberals and Democrats.
Wouldn't that be considered to be "sexist?" That is, using young, attractive, sexy women wearing tight clothes to advertise something?
I wonder how it is sexist when guys ask if Palin is qualified to be Vice President?
First no GWBush or Dick Cheney speeches, now no Keith Oberman - I guess they don't care about my eyeballs
I'll be leaving the TV off and will stick to the blogs and YouTube
The only thing that anyone will remember about this week is that Sarah Palin's 17 year old daughter is pregnant, and her husband has a DWI on his record, and Palin's office has hired an attorney to defend her in the "Troopergate" scandal.
Palin's only qualification for VP is her pro-life stance.
McCain put the evangelical vote first, not country first. Shame on him and shame on Sarah Palin for exploiting her pregnant teenage daughter.
Gregory is the spitting image of Howdy Doody!
Well that's pretty cowardly, considering that the Dems had to put up with Scarborough pissing on them from a great height for three days, and considering that the Repubs even let MICHAEL MOORE in to their 2004 convention.
The RNC- Radical Nazi Coalition does not believe in a free press that is why they had Amy Goodman from Democracy Now arrested today along with her reporters. The St Paul Fascist Police are attacking citizens and doing "preemptive" attacks on would be protesters. The RNC has finally gotten what they wanted a Nazi government protected by nazi cops.
Welcome to the new world Republican order. . . "All the cops are criminals, all the sinners saints. . ."
Obviously, Capus is in McInsane's pocket, and no doubt took marching orders from the Rethuglicans about making sure Olbermann was not in the MSNBC booth. They want no part of the truth about how corrupt they are. David Gregory is very safe since he doesn't know where is ass is and couldn't find it with both hands. Matthews is so wishy-washy that he is safe for the Rethuglicans. The mucky mucks at MSNBC are the real cowards.
Can't hurt the liddle repuddington's feelings by being too hard on them when they put all that energy into their big screen convention background. duh.
In all reality. Ask them the damn questions and make them answer. Campbell Brown did a decent job of that with Tucker whoever.. McCain's spokesperson.
Lots of "sanitizing" going on...

I know its not as much fun as the salacious story about a pregnant teenager but the Republican fascistas have been busy destroying what is left of the free press in this country.
joe in oklahoma @ 23:
All they're doing is pissing off A LOT of veterans who know better. Unfortunate for those nos-serving ass holes their trying to buy her a DD214 without actually doing the job.
Speaking of sanitized, this link http://www.gop.mfbiz.com/#/newpalinbidenpoll/4530692820 is to a GOP website that has been taking a pole on who is your choice for VP -- Palin or Biden. All day it was working fine -- Biden had 93% and Palin 7%, then I asked a McCainista on a comment thread if the site was for real. Next thing I know, they scrubbed it. Now it's 100% Palin! Thing is, I took a screen grab. If someone will tell me how, I'll upload it here, or anywhere you say. Hilarious. I think the results freaked them out!
On one page at the same link, they are running that "I'm a Hillary Supporter who's voting for McCain" commercial. There are three comments there, including mine, all saying the same thing. Guess what it was . . .
Daingel @ 39:
I particularly liked the part about foreign policy experience.
He said she dispatched the National Guard.______???????
Ummmm? When was the last natural disaster in Alaska? When was the last time the Alaska National Guard was dispatched for some foreign policy by a Governor?
Damn,,,,,I’m starting to laugh so hard I can’t type anymore.
The RNC is a freaking mess. There are arrest of protesters including Amy Goodman. There has been damage by protesters breaking windows. The whole Bristol Palin thing that I'm not supposed to talk or think about because it's none of my business. The trooper gate.
Good God. I can't imagine Palin as president. She seems like a wack job. Can anyone tell me why this country was subjected to this VP pick, picked solely because it made the conservative Christian right comfortable? When did the Christian Right start running the country for the rest of us?
My blood runs cold.
New CBS Poll... September 1st... Good news...
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/09/01/opinion/polls/main4405106.shtml
ratings be damned, this thing is going to fair so badly, they are a gruesome lot.
Mythical Me @ 40:
I saw that when it was 94 Biden and 6 Palin. Just copy it or cut it and paste it to your comment.
Thats hilarious that they'd say 100% Palin now. Last time I looked at it it said 15 minutes left. Ohhh yeaahhhh. Their in full panic mode now.
On Sunday Gregory actually said he thought it was "cool" that Palin got on an airplane AFTER her water broke for a six or seven hour flight to get back to Alaska from Texas.
IS HE KIDDING? That decision was not cool... that was insanely stupid. It was supposedly an at-risk pregnancy (Down's Syndrome,) and it was coming to term early, and it was directly at odds with ALL GUIDELINES for when prognant women should or should not fly. That lady it BAT-SHIT CRAZY, and Gregory is STUPID for glorifying her for making a decision that was so self-serving and inconsiderate of the safety of her un-born baby.
Mythical Me @ 40:
Put it up at Photobucket and post the link.
Well you can all write to steve.capus@nbc.com and phil.griffin@nbc.com and complain.
I just did.
Dear Sirs,
As long as Keith Olberman is not covering the RNC, there is no point in my watching it. David Gregory and Chris Matthews are not my idea of balanced coverage.
You have made a big mistake and it is clearly partisan. I get the feeling you don't want some facts to come out. Olberman is a classy man, Matthews is unpredictably egotistically a microphone kidnapper who interviews people poorly. Gregory is so obviously a right leaning opinion commentator. We need Keith to balance out the right wing influence.
Don't you care about this country? Where is the coverage on the arrest of Amy Goodman?
Smitty Martin

Just think, Palin wanted Alaska to be independant from the U.S. I guess they have to change the "America First" banner.

A CNN weatherman pointed out that just as McCain is going to give his big address on Thursday night that the second big hurricane will be slamming into Florida and that the crucial swing state won't be watching him... but tuning in for storm updates in their state.
I seem to remember some of the Dobson crowd praying for rain to wipe out Obama's stadium address... it seems that the Deity above got really pissed over that or has a really strange sense of humor!

Gregory instead of K.O.? Man, I guess being a corporate cock sucker for the GOP does pay off. Gregory, Matthews, Buchanan, and Killer Joe? I'd rather watch Fox.
Left&Left @ 57:
C-span and be rid of them all!
Why isn't the Amy Goodman arrest a separate story???
Almost forgot that I came her to say what should have been sanitized was Cindy McCain's gold dress. There's a picture of her with Mrs. Dumya at the RNC: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=94176207
WOW, that News Buster site is hilarious; looks like it might be a favorite of the 30% of the population that thinks Bush is doing a great job.
Look at some of the comments surrounding the hurricane...........Republicans are such compassionate people!

Rasputin @ 56:
I don't understand why Romney dropped out. I felt he was a better candidate (with better judgment) than McCain.
After the GOP controlled government sends down marching orders for gestapo type military action against the protests and their actions to remove media opposition from covering the Republican convention there's no doubt that we're rapidly losing our Constitutional rights and becoming a dictatorship. Although I don't think it's going to happen, if the GOP successfully steals this election, you'll not only see the next World war, but there will be a civil war in this country.
Paul @ 66:
Because he was losing badly and leaking his own funds to the tune of double digit millions.
Speaking of sanitized coverage, please cover Amy Goodman's arrest!
This is time for Keith O. to man up and tell us was he moved because of criticizms of The Republican Crime Syndicate.
Ruthless People @ 51:
Can you just imagine how pissed some lobbyist and r''s were when they found out Hookers and Blow was just the name of the band? lol
Last few weeks, with the violent arrests at the democratic convention, one by a cigar chomping thug, to Amy's arrest, to Olbermann being banned from the convention, to the unbelievable lack of rational commentary about the rep vp choice, I think we're in information lockdown. It is truly Orwellian to hear the same people who, for weeks, repeated over and over all sorts of reasons why obama wasn't qualified to be president, treat this same meme as if they never mentioned it in the first place.
We're very, very close to a complete takeover by the fascists. I figured they'd do something before the election, and I think this is just the warmup. But I tend to be cynical, so perhaps things aren't as bad as I fear they are.
Daingel @ 65:
My mother's complaining lately that she feels like she's back in the USSR. Is it all going downhill? Where to next, Canada?
Let's also be careful about left-leaning websites. Just earlier on huffington post, they had a headline that called the protesters 'anarchists.' Not the first time the site's headlined republican talking points. Sort of reminds you of the time huffington was a republican.
I went to the poll site that was put up by your RNC earlier in the day. Now I see the post that says Palin for VP 100%.
WHAT A CROC
If the republicans win your country is screwed, especially if they're going to change a poll result like this
Mike the Canuck @ 76:
Seems funny that the thugs like to call us commies just like the KKK was infamous for, but they use communist tactics for their own polls.
Remember when Saddam was also at 100% of the poll at election time?
I also will NOT watch MSNBC's coverage of the REPUB convention if Olbermann is not reporting on it. I refuse to acquiesce in the communist tactics of creating the news instead of reporting it. I stopped watching CNN after being a loyal viewer for years because they decided reporting news was not as important as showcasing their bloviating wigs like Wolf Blitza and Anderson Coopa. Now it seems that MSNBC is trying to outdo them? Enough! I removed links to AP from my homepage and no longer read any article written by them. Again, propaganda is not something I prefer to read instead of real news. So MSNBC, take Olbermann off the Minnesota assignment, and watch the number of eyeballs watching your news plummet.
I hope all good progressives will join me in boycotting MSNBC while they are covering the Repub Convention. Yeah baby! Go Keith!
Keith Olbermann is a political commentator, not a news reporter. If he headed up the DNC coverage, then he needs to be at the RNC convention.
Today the RNC had its schedule severely cut, so KO is not exactly at a loss here.
What's he gonna do all day without any major speeches to dissect? Bash Matthews?

#43...Rasputin Says
About the polls......but, but, but, I just heard Sean Hannity say that Obama is only up by 1 point....yep, only 1 point.
Seriously, as much as I like that CBS poll and other polls today, this thing is nowhere finished, and we have to keep it up. The GOP has got to have something up their sleeve with all of the insanity going on with Palin. It boggles the mind when I hear stuff such as Cindy McCain defending Palin by saying that Alaska is close to Russia.
Bing! I just figured it out......Palin is the new Messiah who can do everything! She's the new "One"! That's got to be it.
Daingel @ 82:
Priceless stuff!
My favorite part was when he told her attorney not to think about suggesting that they don't have the power to investigate her and NO! you can't have copies of all of the witnesses testimony that we have collected so far AND... Governor Palin has not responded to our request to set up a date for her to be deposed and you better see to it!
Question:
1) The convention is being broadcast live
2) All that a convention pass does is allow *physical access* to the convention floor and its surroundings
3) There is no way that anyone can stop Olberman from commenting as a "guest" via satellite
So why not have him do an end run around this obvious GOP tomfoolery as a guest to his show?
Hey Mythical Me, if you're still out there, I would love to see that pic!! If you upload it, please do post the link.
Thanks!!
What happened to the Open Thread? I get a 404 error message.
Is it too being "sanitized"?
I've never been over to newsbusters before, but wow ...
It's interesting, especially, to read the comments. There are a lot of personal attacks on Olbermann, ranging from using the word "liberal" as a pejorative to questioning his sexuality. But nowhere on the entire comment page do I see any valid criticisms of Keith or his commentaries. There's something to be said when your political foes can't find anything to say about you that isn't just random insult or wild mud flinging.
Keith has definitely grown into Murrow's shoes, starting as a lone voice of dissidence (apart from the guys on Comedy Central, but comedians don't exactly count) and leading other major news voices in criticisms of the current administration and those complicit in their actions.
It's sad that he's not going to be at the RNC convention, but really, what is there to be said? When a party becomes a parody of itself, where is there left to go? McCain, who already has to hide the reputation of dumping wives for newer models, may not actually have any non-professional interest in his VP pick, but people are sure going to infer that based on past behavior. And in the end, this whole pissing contest is going to come down to who seems to be more positive in the American public's collective vision, and for that I hope the Republican party continues the way they're going. My brother always said they make a great opposition party, but stink out loud when they're in power.
I'll be looking forward to Keith's comments on the RNC convention after he gets back from covering our latest climate change induced disaster ....
Okay, simple question:
Who got more prime air time today, time that would have otherwise been taken up by the convention -- Chris Matthews or Keith Olbermann?
Keith Olbermann, of course.
Interesting. If some MSNBC suit who might be a Joe or Tweety fan wanted to punish Keith for last week (when, really, they should be punishing Joe 'n' Tweety), then it backfired. If the RNC wanted to punish Keith then it backfired.
I mean, either way, it's
[Keith] How dare you take me away from the Republican National Convention and give me more air time?! [/Keith]
As if!
-- Rob
I was at my parents' today for dinner. As my dad was flipping channels on the TV, I thought I heard "Hookers and Blow" at the RNC. Well, I guess I really did hear that.
Unbelieveable.....if this isn't damning for Republicans, I don't know what is. Can't wait to see how they spin this.....especially after McCain asked them to stick to business.
I also heard tonight that Biden gave a speech today, and some RNC thug made some comment about that speech and it sure was inappropriate during a time of a disaster in the south.
I know the link is posted at least twice above....but here it is again.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rni6G7RRFkk
Man, I just looked at that Hookers and Blow video again....that really needs to be shown over and over again in Pennsylvania, a swing state, with that segment near the end with congressman Bill Schuster.
That REALLY fat fuck Gingrich is on Tavis Smiley now, says that the "proper handling" of Gustav should "erase 2/3 of the bad memories of Katrina"!!
More Newt: "McCain is sort of a cross between Theodore Roosevelt and Harry Truman" WTF!!
Newt, shut the fuck up!!
Tavis, go order a couple more Double Quarter Pounders with cheese and force-feed the fucker on air.
General Jack D. Ripper @ 83:
I think McCain's foreign policy adviser, Randy Schuenemann, mega-paid lobbyist for Georgia was behind the Georgian President's decision to attack in Ossetia and trigger a more mild Russian response, but enough to get the "home team" riled at the Russian Bear and rally round McCrazy.
The blow back was the BIG Russian response and too many people didn't like the fact that Georgia attacked first.
This was meant to be the "September Surprise" that would rally voters to his campaign but it didn't work, just like the Iran attack on our ships didn't create a second "Gulf of Tonkin" incident and work either... So Palin was the desperation move and as the CBS poll suggest... it hasn't worked.
Oh... I watch the poll averages rather than any one individual poll, but the polls are just now beginning to register a real effect and as the CBS poll noted their are still a huge number of undecideds out their. So I give them only a minimal amount of credence... at the moment, but that is changing.
What concerns me is how all of Bush/Cheny/McCain's maneuvers have fallen flat on their face and that makes the cornered rats desperate. This is the time when we will see them do something really stupid.
Men as ruthless as Bush and Cheney do not spend time and energy, break umptine laws to expand and consolidate their power only to give it away. Sy Hersh even wrote that one of his sources said that Cheney had floated the idea in a meeting that we dress up one of our own Seal units as Iranians and blow them up in a staged attack on one of our ships to trigger war with Iran.
A monster that thinks like that is capable of anything... he ain't going to go quietly into that good night! No way... No how...
So is this thing finished or even close to being finished? NO!... the really dangerous shit is about to begin.
fastfeat @ 87:

Fuck MSNBC for pulling Keith the only honest man in media
i am so glad you posted this information. i couldn't figure out what was going on. earlier this evening (late afternoon?) i punched up countdown online and it was tweety and keith doing the hurricane waltz -- i turned it off after a while because there didn't seem to be any conventioning going on. i didn't hear anyone say that keith wasn't doing the convention. in fact, last week he said "see you at the republican convention!"
when was the decision made?
pmb @ 95:
There was some bad blood brewing between KO and Tweety... KO dissed him on air and Tweety took exception to it. This is probably in the mix somewhere as well.
keith olberman replaced by david gregory, the republican shill...shill...shill...otherwise known as a media whore. david strives and gains...for the moment...bigger and better things. what about another dance with karl rove, think of the rewards.
MsJoanne @ 86:
I saw it, too, and I should have snagged it. It had a countdown clock on when it was supposed to stop polling. I voted at around an hour and forty minutes before it closed, and it was at 93% for Biden. I love the "statistical anomaly" that changed it 100%.

Hey, Rasputin, Uncle Joe, and all you other Commies,
Now, that would be something indeed.....sex with bears!
No, really....it really boggles the mind, all of the stuff we've seen the past few days. I've seen a theory out there that maybe John McCain is really getting back at Bush and Cheney. This is so bizarre that I'm actually starting to think that this "theory" might be correct!
And the other thing is, the responses coming the repug defenders of Palin really sound as if they are in bizarro world.
I also saw another thing a short while ago. I saw a transcript somewhere of William the bloody Kristol predicting that Palin will be the VP pick.....and that was made at the end of June.
Rasputin.....think I saw above that you said that GOP hackers got into the C&L server to mess things up (I've seen problems, including now, where I can't reply to individual comments).....is that for real? I wonder if C&L can find out who they are?
How embarrassing for David Gregory. Busted, you apologist hack!
McCain better change his slogan from country first to Alaska First.
Palin is a supporter and member of a radical Alaskan separatist group that wants Alaska to secede from the U.S. and become an independent nation. That is why she is always talking about what's good for Alaskans. Their motto is Alaska first and their founder was buried in Canada because he didn't want to be buried under the American flag. The party talks about infiltrating the major political parties to enact change and questions the vote to make Alaska a state by characterizing soldiers who voted as "occupational forces." They reject all government regulation and seek to pursue an independent Alaska mining its resources without federal involvement. There's video of her addressing and praising the group and a meeting where the speaker praises Palin as a member and says Alaskan high schoolers give the thumbs down to America.
Speaking of sanitized coverage.....wasn't yesterday (Monday) Labor Day?
I know there's been a hurricane down south and there's a mess in Alaska, but shouldn't Mr. Bush have said something? Or maybe someone say something at the RNC convention?
Maybe they did....didn't see anything, and just thought I'd ask.
My husband only watches The Nature Channel and Keith Olberman. He is 100 percent diabled VN veteran and is Obama all the way. Did I mention that if he did
not fight for anything else in Vietnam, it was freedom of speech and the press.
I suggest everyone call MSNBC, email and fax them and tell them how many viewers
are demanding Keith Olberman back at the table covering the RNC. They are disenfranchising veterans. Those who are there are not only there because of John McCain but every other Veteran who has worn the uniform.
General Jack D. Ripper @ 112:
Yup! I asked Nicole about it and she said every time there is a big Democratic event that the hackers hit the site hard and the IT guys and gals go nuts. Probably no way to find out who it is.
General Jack D. Ripper @ 112:
you do understand that right now, there are hackers combing myspace and facebook for anything from either the bride or groom to be, big bro or little sis...and if its there, they will find it
btw, the boy is 18
makes him an adult....bangin a minor
kid has to marry the girl, or its off to prison he goes
I'm not surprised by the sanitized coverage and the removal of KO from the RNC. When a party like the RNC is desperate they'll do anything they can to perpetuate the lies and dampen the truth.
But, they have an ironman's task ahead of them with every knew revelation coming out about Gov. Hockey Mom. That woman is simply a piece of work. Her arrogance, ruthlessness and stupidity knows no bounds.
Humans originally existed as members of small bands of nomadic hunters/gatherers. They lived on deer in the mountains during the summer and would go to the coast and live on fish and lobster in the winter. The two most important events in all of history were the invention of beer and the invention of the wheel. The wheel was invented to get man to the beer. These were the foundations of modern civilization and together were the catalyst for the splitting of humanity into two distinct subgroups:
1. Liberals, and
2. Conservatives.
Once beer was discovered, it required grain and that was the beginning of agriculture. Neither the glass bottle nor the aluminum can had been invented yet, so while our early ancestors were sitting around waiting for them to be
invented, they just stayed close to the brewery. That's how villages were formed.
Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to B-B-Q at night while they were drinking beer. This was the beginning of what is now known as the Conservative movement. Other men who were weaker and less skilled at
hunting learned to live off the conservatives by showing up for the nightly B-B-Q's and doing the sewing, fetching, and hair dressing. This was the beginning of the Liberal movement.
Some of these liberal men eventually evolved into women. The rest became known as girlie-men. Some noteworthy liberal achievements include the domestication of cats, the invention of group therapy, group hugs, and the concept of Democratic voting to decide how to divide the meat and beer that conservatives provided.
Over the years conservatives came to be symbolized by the largest, most powerful land animal on earth, the elephant. Liberals are symbolized by the jackass.
Modern liberals like imported beer (with lime added), but most prefer white wine or imported bottled water. They eat raw fish but like their beef well done. Sushi, tofu, and French food are standard liberal fare. Another interesting evolutionary side note: most of their women have higher
testosterone levels than their men.
Most social workers, personal injury lawyers, journalists, dreamers in Hollywood and group therapists are liberals. Liberals invented the designated hitter rule because it wasn't fair to make the pitcher also bat.
Conservatives drink domestic beer, mostly Bud. They eat red meat and still provide for their women. Conservatives are big-game hunters, rodeo cowboys, lumberjacks, construction workers, firemen, medical doctors, police officers, corporate executives, athletes, Marines, and generally anyone who
works productively. Conservatives who own companies hire other conservatives who want to work for a living.
Liberals produce little or nothing They like to govern the producers and decide what to do with the production. Liberals believe Europeans are more enlightened than Americans. That is why most of the liberals remained in Europe when conservatives were coming to America . They crept in after the Wild West was tamed and created a business of trying to get something for nothing.
Here ends today's lesson in world history:
It should be noted that a Liberal may have a momentary urge to angrily respond to the above before forwarding it.
A Conservative will simply laugh and be so convinced of the absolute truth of this history that it will be forwarded immediately to other true believers and to more liberals just to piss them off. And there you have it. Let your next action reveal your true self.
What we have here is a classic of the Mendacious Sound of Misinformation (MSN) showing their distaste for the truth. And the Repugs has the nerves to complain about the liberal press. The only thing liberal about the Mandacious Sound of Misinformation is the liberal lies they put out about the Democractic Party. My question is, Why are Americans rightwingers so misguided in their thinking?
just question
So Keith has been dropped down the GOP memory hole. Nice!
a special commentary in the making
That fucking chickenhawk asswipe, John Hawkins, really nauseates me. His blog is a putrid collection of right-wing lies, distortions, smears, racism, and bigotry.
Looking at his photo, he looks to be in his 30s---well within military service age.
And yet does he go fight in this Iraq fiasco that he and his fellow right-wingers adore?
No. He sits here in his pampered middle-class house in the U.S. while other people go and die for George W. Bush's lies.
If there is a God, then scum like Hawkins will someday be roasting in the flames of Hell.
Paul @ 66:
The true umbrella of the GOP is smaller than they want you to know. Anyone is a better than McCain except those in the fringes re. their beliefs. Don't worry GOP Utah is safe though.
It's a shame that the republican party is made up of such cowardly people.
I think John Stewart had it right republican love America they just hate half the people in America.
It is the reason no republican should ever be elected to office in America again!
Liberal media my ass.
So, Orally, Hannity, Bill Krystol were all at the DNC in Denver and Pat Buchanan was at the MSNBC booth, but somehow Keith is too extreme? I have been a big MSNBC fan for 5 years now, but this is the last straw!
I hope tonight will be different. i was wondering what the deal was with KO last night. I'll wait until tonight's show is on to see if he's back where he belongs. If not I will be contacting NBC. As several of you have already noted - MSNBC is beginning to really SUCK! "Beeker" Scarborough & Tweety are bad enough. I am not looking for a FAUX News Lite. If they keep this BS up we need to flood them with e-mails. If they get enough maybe they will listen.
MSNBC is owned by General Electric.
GE was #14 on the list of the top 100 defense contractors in 2004. General Electric has a long been renowned for profits won through political influence, corrupting the watchdogs, tax dodges, undue risks for workers and excessive rewards for executives (collectively known as ERONomics), defense contracting fraud, violations of securities laws, employment discrimination, pollution, human experiments with nuclear radiation, etc., etc.
No wonder they booted Olberman from covering their pick for president.
Who could have guessed that the chickenhawk bullyboys of politics can dish it out but can't take it. The only debate these gits want is a rigged debate so that's why KO is out and the Rove Puddin's dance partner Gregory is in.
MSNBC is run by lily-livered COWARDS afraid of a bunch of war mongering doh-boys.
This proves to me that the GOP's "successes" of the past two decades are mainly due to the media's collusion.
Got this off of the Countdown website:
Olbermann at RNC:
Countdown will be preempted Tuesday, September 2 to Thursday, September 4 for ongoing MSNBC TV coverage of the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota. The event will also be live streamed on msnbc.com.
SICKENING!! Time to flood the NBC & MSNBC Masters with calls & e-mails!
Olbermann scares the shit out of Reslugs.

It appears Keith took himself out of the RNC loop out of fear he would be assassinated. So, all of this conspiracy nonsense appears to be just that.
I love Keith and his special comments, and have followed his career from the outset, but the man does think an awful lot of himself.
