The salary cap will be a bit higher in 2014, if projections prove true.
NFL teams will have a bit more cash to spend in next season. The NFL is projecting a salary cap of $126.3 million for the 2014 league year, according to NFL Media's Albert Breer. That total would be roughly a 2.6-percent increase from this season's $123 million cap number. The additional $3.3 million could be used on top of the salary cap carry over from this season.
