If there's one thing you can count on from the likes of Fox's Bill O'Reilly and his buddy Charles Krauthammer, it doesn't matter how many times a lie has been debunked, they're going to repeat it over and over again if they think it suits their political purposes. Krauthammer proved that once again this Tuesday evening when he attacked President Obama for supposedly going on his non-existent "apology tour" which he decided to rename his "confessional tour" during the segment above with O'Reilly.

The fearmongering and push for further military intervention in Iraq by the United States and pretending that President Obama really just wants to appease those "evil doers" who supposedly mean us harm is nothing new, but I think this is the first time I've heard one of these pundits on the right try to claim that Gen. David Petraeus actually "ended" the war in Iraq.

Usually they're just trying to pretend that it was already "won" and that the Kenyan usurper "lost" the "war" for the United States by pulling our combat troops out of there in 2010. Who knew that Petraeus "ended" the war by the time he left there back in 2008?

Here's more on their fearmongering and name calling from Fox's blog: Krauthammer: Obama ‘Thinks America Ends Up Doing More Harm Than Good’:

Tonight, Bill O’Reilly asked Charles Krauthammer: why isn’t President Barack Obama confronting evil?

Krauthammer referenced Obama’s “confessional tour,” where he talked on foreign soil about all of the sins that America has committed. Krauthammer said Obama “thinks America ends up doing more harm than good,” and he thinks his role is to restrain.

“He presented himself to the nation as the man who would end the wars. He ran for reelection, ‘I end wars, I don’t start them.’ And this is his self-image, that’s gonna be his legacy if he has any in history, ‘I ended the war in Afghanistan, I ended the war in Iraq.’”

But Krauthammer said General David Petraeus actually ended the war, and Obama created the conditions for the war’s rekindling.

I've heard a lot of really stupid revisionist history being pushed by the right in an extremely blatant attempt to absolve George W. Bush of all responsibility for invading Iraq in the first place and instead blame President Obama for not cleaning up the mess that was laid on his doorstep the day he took office, but this one might take the cake for being the most ridiculous.
