Malala Yousafzai is an inspiration to us all, but I'm going to give a slight edge to Pope Francis.

Who would believe that a pope could make such a difference to the rest of the world in such a short time? He has laid out a sweeping vision for economic justice, he's about to release a statement on global warming, he sneaks out of the Vatican dressed as an ordinary priest to feed the homeless.

He's cleaning up the mess at the Vatican banks, he's getting rid of cardinals and bishops who misuse their office, and he's pushing church officials to clean up the sex scandals. He helped open Cuba to diplomatic relations with the U.S.

The most important thing is, he's a shining beacon in a world that's lost its way. He's not reluctant to call out the wealthy and powerful, he has compassion for the poor and vulnerable, he actually lives the life he preaches.

If I had a dollar for everyone who's told me they "can't believe" how much they admire this pope, I'd be rich. It's something I never thought I'd see again.

So for me, it's Good Pope Frank. Do you agree? If not, who would you nominate?

Can you help us out?
