When asked why he hasn't mentioned the four Green Berets that were killed in Niger over ten days ago, Trump told the press he wrote some letters and then claimed Obama and other U.S. Presidents "didn't make calls."

Ten days ago, the NY Times and other news outlets reported that four of our Green Berets were killed in Niger.

Since then we've heard nothing about this tragic incident from the Trump administration.

On October 11th, MSNBC's Mike Barnicle wanted to know why Trump was obsessed with ESPN hosts and the NFL while ignoring these fallen heroes. he did not receive a true answer.

During today's presser with Mitch McConnell a reporter asked, "Why haven't we heard anything from you about the soldiers that were killed in Niger?"

Trump said, "I've written personal letters. They've been sent or they're going out tonight, but they were written during the weekend."

He continued, "I will, at some point during the period of time call the parents, the families."

It's been almost two weeks, Donald. There is no stated period of time for a U.S. president to wait to pass on condolences to families that lost their loved ones serving our country.

Then he started to think about it more and as usual, he had to lie to make himself appear better.

"I felt very, very badly about that. It's the toughest -- the toughest calls I have to make are the calls where this happens, soldiers are killed and it's a very difficult thing. Now it gets to a point where you make four or five of them in one day, it's a very tough day and for me, that's by far the toughest."

It's not an easy thing to do, but I image it's much harder on the families. As usual, in Trump's mind, it's only about him.

And then Trump mixed in lies with nonsense.

"The traditional way if you look at President Obama and other presidents, most of them didn't make calls. A lot of them didn't make calls. I like to call when it's appropriate, when i think I'm able to do it. They have made the ultimate sacrifice so generally I would say that I like to call," Trump said.

It's bad enough that Trump lies so much, but when he lies about how past presidents respond to the death of our troops and dealing with the families, it's unforgivable.

For once, stick to what YOU do.

Is that really so fn hard?

The response from Obama's team were swift and brutal.
