Fox's+Pie+Chart_f8430.jpg

As TPM reported earlier this week, FOX News management has said heads would roll for on-screen "errors" like running the cover of "Going Rouge" instead of the cover of "Going Rogue" in their programming.

So what quality control agent is doing their pie charts? They add up to 193%, dude. And Sandy points out that 70% of Republicans suffer from BACK PALIN: a pre-existing condition for sure.

That pie chart looks like something out of THE PRODUCERS, where literally hundreds of old ladies each owned at least 25% of "Springtime for Hitler"...

is that what it was all about!

i did not know that - i never could figure any of it out...

Looks like the Cons are making a HUGE comeback!

I knew Palin would enegize the whack-o's but 193% beats my expectations - more than I could ever dream.

They already have WAY more than they need for any election.

WOO HOO!

If 193% doesn't beat Obama then the whole thing is obviously rigged.

Reporting on the latest Fox News/Opinion Dynamics poll last night on Fox News’ local Chicago affiliate, anchor Byron Harlan employed some funny math in asserting that Sarah Palin is leading the pack for the GOP nomination in 2012:

HARLAN: It looks as if the rogue route is helping Sarah Palin. Her book tour has meant new support. A new Opinion Dynamics poll for 2012 shows her on top when it comes to landing the nomination. Palin is at 70 percent, about a third higher than this past July. Mike Huckabee stands at 63 percent. Mitt Romney’s 60.

Those figures add up to 193 percent.

I worked in a high-pressure graphics/publishing staff in NYC for a while. Given the current atmosphere about "mistakes" at Fox, I'm sure they'll bag the production worker and give a pass to the responsible higher ups.

This must be is an unintentional mistake, unlike their previous errors which seemed like they were more driven by the network's bias than the result of human error. Putting a "D" upon the latest Repub mired in scandal in those cases would just be chalked up as a happy accident, and perhaps even encouraged.

This time it's easier to point the finger at the worker, whereas in those other instances the gaffes were simply a careless result of implementing their agenda.

really freaked them out ... seems like time

There's a possibility the pie is still somewhat accurate, if the names were considered for both positions on the top of the ticket.

The question probably asked something like "Would you support (insert name here) as the Republican candidate?". In a case like that, you can easily get a total over 100%. After all, you might prefer Palin but would be okay with Huckabee as well.

The problem is that data like that should be shown on a bar chart (or equivalent).
