But yes...Americans should see more images like that, and everyone else in the world should too.
Well although it's a shoking image, it is not one filled with blood and dismembered parts of the body, so nothing 'gore'. Just a photo with a very absurd and sad tale. It was frontpage on the newspaper the link leads too. So I didn't think of putting a disclaimer. But you're right, if you are less used to see such images, people should be warned it is not an easy sight.
For those who think of war as a glorious and manly event (I doubt they'll be on this forum, except when it's troll time during primaries), this image might shatter their fantasy and faith in 'chirurgical strikes'.

No word on whether he's changed his mind on his sexual orientation, though. Were Madoff's victims ironically unsuspecting accomplices? Cheney the Dick uses the 9/11 excuse that "no one saw it coming" when it comes to the financial crisis. He also lies about the legality of the CIA's "interrogation" techniques. States can't keep up with unemployment claims. Looks like the "planning" involved in the Iraq war was the same kind which went into Afghanistan. Maybe the hawks should brush up on their Sunni and Shiite terms next time.
The Howard Jarvis Mafia loses its suit against the Dem tax-around proposal, ironically because it violates the same anti-tax law they originally passed. Speaking of taxes, the Dems willing to roll over for Bush's tax cuts seem to have no problem challenging the cuts when Obama wants them.

was the fastest growing population. i believe that has changed maybe to arizona. nevada is famous for being the destination for the ongoing exodus from california. heavy marketing to turn this into a destination. actually the las vegas economy is NOT diversified and NOT sophisticated.it's dependent on tourism. gaming revenues are down........so they lay off or reduce employees to part-time. crime is high here and getting worse. nevada has the highest teenage pregnancy and the lowest high school graduation rates. currently the place has an identity problem. infrastructure and public services are stretched to the max from unemployed/illegal immigrants.

Coulter predictably cheats (giving 2 answers instead of 1 both of which just restate her monomaniacal liberal bashing schtick), and gets in a free plug for her latest book. Neither of her choices (Joe McCarthy and FDR) or reasons for selecting them are remotely as surprising or provocative as she obviously thinks they are, and despite milking the moment for every scintilla of its comic worth, she really just isn't very funny. B+ for effort, C- for delivery and an F for shop-worn, shamelessly rehashed content.
Franken's choice (Hitler) quadruples the shock value, exposes the FDR answer for its utter fatuity, manages to get screams of laughter for the unlikely punchlines of "the Holocaust" & "World War 2", ending with a hilariously gentle plug - not for himself or his books - but for the humble Volkswagen. Hilarious, unexpected, substantive answer and delivered with the comic timing of a true master. Triple A+. Coulter looks suitably chastened and flummoxed.

Most people figure it out after just a few cycles. I'm 42. I voted for Reagun on my 18th birthday in 84, Bush in 88, Clinton in 92 and 96, and gave up, or figured it out by 2000.
I know this will draw some boos but the point is: they are the same. My voting record does not matter. Which means no one else's mattered either unless they were voting for a third party.
OK, enough about her looooong face and hands and feet. Look what a phony she is. McCarthy? Obviously done to show how 'outrageous' she is and to provoke. She is a fake, phony performer, and her fans are such dolts they haven't a clue. Franken turned it around brilliantly on her, and in a way that was humerous and clever.

For New Years Day...
I cooked the traditional south eastern US NYD meal...it took all day, wasn't heart smart by any means...but damn if it wasn't friggin tasty.
Each part of the meal represents something different...
The Collard Greens represent foldin money, and may we all have plenty this year...
The Black Eyed Peas represent change...no shit...and we all could use some of that about now.
And the Corn Bread represents food...may we all have enough to eat this year.
But the pork shoulder I roasted...isn't really part of the tradition...I just cooked it because it tastes gooder'n hell.
Ok it may sound stupid to some of you...but as a kid, I looked forward to that meal every year.

Is there ever a way that I don't ALWAYS have to request a new password every day?
Each day I come here and attempt to log in and each time the site fails to recognize my password. Every day I have to request a new password and every time I enter in the same password but, to no avail, the system refuses to recognise it. I even check, "remember me".
How can this be resolved?

I'm quite upset with the prohibition against "transsexual jokes" on a thread prefaced by an Ann Coulter reference. I think it is a reasonable topic to reference what is quite possibly true. Ms. Coulter's adam's apple is quite prominent, and looks very much like a man's adam's apple which has had the bone shaved down as part of a sex change operation. If you look at "her" hands, or "her" face with the hair cropped away, it raises some serious questions. Why is this subject not fair game? It's amazing what passes for censorship these days. Shame on you.
