During an interview on this weekend's Fox News Sunday, after bragging about all of the money he's raised for his party and how they've supposedly delivered on all of their promises (tax cuts, spending cuts, deregulation) and lying about the economy they inherited from Biden, host Shannon Bream pressed Johnson on why the mood in the country is so sour right now, and Johnson proceeded to blame the media for their lousy polling numbers rather than admit or take responsibility for the damage they've done to the economy.

BREAM: With that long list, though, is it a messaging problem? Why do think Americans tell us over and over again in the polls they are worried about all kinds of things that are tied to the economy?

They don't like the direction the country is moving in. They feel very pessimistic. Is something lost in translation? Is there more work to be done?

JOHNSON: Well, look, it's a hostile media environment. Most of the mainstream media, of course, is advancing the false narrative of the other side, the Democrats and the Marxists, the insurgent left that is taking over the Democrat party.

They're on the other team. And they can completely and constantly repeat that message.

Gas prices are too high. We know that. And of course, we have much more work to be done. But in a contrast election, the American people have a very simple choice. Do you want to turn the government over again to the people who open the border, want to ban fossil fuels, what's that going to do for gas prices?

The people that don't believe in the rule of law, the people that brought you the unsafe streets and the terrible economic conditions, we have set the ship of state on the right course and it's got to be continued. And if you look in these individual races, House races across the country, it's a very simple decision.

Every voter has to ask themselves a simple question, which candidate is best for me and my family, my children, my aging parents? In every one of these cases, Republican is offering common sense solutions in a steady hand of the wheel.

And the Democrats increasingly are going crazy. They really are. There's an insurgent Marxist left that is taking over that party. And when we watch the videos of what's happening in Paris, in France, and other countries in Europe right now, that's a harbinger of things to come unless you keep the grownups in charge. And that's what this election really is all about at end of the day.

From the party that brought us January 6th, the Iran war, illegal tariffs, and refuses to rein in their mad king. Everything is projection with these people.
