Herman Cain Wins Florida Straw Poll
Florida straw poll voters decided they hate everyone and voted for the only candidate who's never held public office, Herman Cain.
Results: Cain (37 percent), Perry (15 percent), Romney (14 percent), Santorum (11 percent), Paul (10 percent), Gingrich (9 percent), Huntsman (2 percent), Bachmann (2 percent)

Just days ahead of Florida's straw poll, Florida's Republican Party Communications Director Brian Hughes explained to "Power Play Live" host Chris Stirewalt just how big the sunshine state showdown really is.
"The winner of the Presidency 5 straw poll is going to be the Republican nominee," Hughes said.
Uh huh.
CORRECTION: The first post had Perry as third. The final results had Romney third.

I was wondering if anyone else looked at that and giggled. It's so irrelevant to the real world I live in everyday I am having a hard time even taking it seriously anymore.
Jesus! But that's what inhabits the Sunshine State (myself, Pissed Off Patricia, and a few other sane people I know excepted). I can imagine if somebody interviewed a few of the people who voted: "Why did you vote for Herman Cain?" "Uh, because I uh, freedom and uh, taxes, and uh I like pizza". But let's just compare these results with what the geniuses of the Beltway Corporate Media have been prognosticating, shall we? Let's see, at various times they have touted Rick Perry as the front runner, Mitt Romney as the front runner, Michelle Bachmann as the front runner. Hmm, these numbers just aren't very good for any of those clowns are they? Doesn't matter though, because every Sunday we'll be treated to an onslaught of appearances by any one or more of those 'front runners".

He beat out Paul by more than 25%. Romney and Parry by more than 20%. Must have been something he said... or perhaps it's because he has been in the background up until now.

That just about explains it. That base is wack-a-loon Protestants (Santorum's base is wack-a-loon Catholics, the difference being that wack-a-loon Catholics think gays and doctors who perform abortions are leading us to hell, while Protestants believe those same people cause tornadoes).
Don't know what the deal is about the voters in this straw poll and Cain, but Romney's really starting to gain control nationally.

Instead of percentages please let us know what the vote was. In Iowa there are app 2 million citizens of voting age living in the state. of that number app. 15,000 actually voted. What are the numbers for this waste of time and paper, the Florida Straw Poll. There is nothing binding there. in fact there is very little there there. It is just a gop/tea party/ republican circle jerk that is not worth a bucket of warm spit.
